Default iPod hooked up!

I just finished installing my new iPod-2-car (whatever its called) and it's effin awsome. I can use my steering wheel controls with it which makes it even better, well worth the $130 and pretty simple to install!!

Just thought I'd share..

I think I may possibly be the only person on the planet who owns an Ipod, but hasnt used it in 4 months. I thought about putting it in my car, but then I rememberd I never use it! Good for you though, Ill live vicariously through you.

Get that ipod 2 car thing, it took maybe 5 minutes to hook it up and it works wonders.. A lot better than the FM transmitter... Well worth the money IMO

Yeah I got mine hooked up about a month ago. I like how you can put all of your cds on the damn thing and lock it in the glove box and forget about it. Now I don't have to worrry about stolen cds ever again.. its a PITA when you have more than 100 cd's stolen.
I got mine here

same controls you would have with a cd. vol, tracks, etc..

I keep mine on shiffle and change the song from the steering wheel controls when I want to switch it

Man I'm glad i saw this, I was about to buy a whole new head unit so that i could hook up my ipod to it. Does this thing just hook up to the cd changer input? Has anyone had any problems with it at all?

My 98 has the Monsoon with the Factory 12 disc in the back. I would say you would just unhook the 12 disc and hook the IPOD in it's place

If its compatible, but 98 and 99 supposedly werent. I have a 2000 and had to switch my headunit out with a newer monsoon which was odd.

The only problem I ran into was that if your battery is going bad it wont work, which shouldnt be a problem unless your battery is going bad.

I'm getting an IPOD for christmas and have been looking into getting this adaptor for my 02 SS, but I was wondering if you have to do away with the Factory Changer? I've heard of some people on the 02's especially being able to switch between the disc changer and then the IPOD like an AUX 2 or second channel. Does anyone have this set up and if so, what all do I need to do this? I've purchased and PAC unit to hook up my MTX thunderform in the back of my car and I love it, is this setup just as simple. I'm just looking for some help. Thanks!

I have a GM9-AUX in my 02 SS and no, even though it has a "passthrough" to hook up the changer, it will only do one or the other. If you hook both up it won't play anything.

Sorry, but at least in my case it's one or the other.
