Default Fuse keeps blowing

My girls little brother has some cheap stuff. Some cheap *** amp from ebay and an 8 inch solo baric. He is runnin some thin wire, like 14 gauge or something and he keeps blowing a fuse. Without hooking up the speaker the fuse blows right away, at the battery. The wire is not to thin, I dont think thats the problem but what can it be?

My guess is that the power wire is grounding out. Check to make sure its not grounding out. You should be more specific though, is the amp hooked up and not the speaker and as soon as you hook up the battery the fuse blows?

Has the amp ever worked? If youve checked all the wireing and its good then the transistors in the amp may be blown/shorted out.
