Would ya know it, I looked all over installuniversity and couldn't find the darn write up. I knew it was there, just figured it was taken down for some reason.

Okay, has anyone found a way to just run the wires internally rather than tapping into pin#10 outside? I'd rather not punch another hole through the grommet. Already have 2, 4ga wires poking through, and had to seal it off like a **** b/c it leaked like crazy when it rained or washed car.

Is there a way to not go through the fire wall to the pcm as I described above? Does the tach wire not somehow go to the drivers side cluster somewhere that I can tap into??

What power wire did you tap into over by the a-pillar in your t/a? doing an install now but don't have a multimeter. I know brown wires are supposed to be switched 12volt sources but the one I used isn't working.

You can go behind the instrument cluster and grab the white wire behind the speedo. Thats the easiest way.

So this would be the best way to hook up the shift light other than tapping into the PCM wire harness? Just need to confirm.

The white wire behind your speedo is your tach wire which is also found at the pcm. If you dont want to run the wire outside, this is easier.
