A interesting kill...
To give a quick synopsis here is a link,....

It's MPH is alright, nothing spectacular, about 112-113 on a heavy car.
Recently I got a Tick Perf Master Cyl in the car and it feels a ton better and I can power shift if I want. Consistantly.
I was driving home, this Mustang flys a rev or 2 at me. We go from a 2nd gear 30ish roll and I give him the jump and the I pull with ease going to 3rd and finishing just before I have to get into 4th. Ok so it looks a solid kill.
He pulls next me and and wants to run from the dig. I said I didn't care, im fine with that. I ask what he has and he is like boltons, gearing, intake, full
exhaust. No spray, No motor work.... It doesn't sound like that but ok, im game.
We get to do like 4 races back to back.
Dead stop race, we both spun (cold road, no burnout) I recover and then pull, not as hard as I did before. I could understand that given the traction loss. So then we do a 20-30 roll, im in 2nd and againI pull but nothing dramatic. I could have prob got it into 1st but with the cold roll I wouldnt chance it.
Yea another roll race, he stays with the car for 2nd and part of 3rd, then 4th I pull cleanly.
It just seemed like he had more work done then stated. He claims he still has speed density (which is common for some of those years and cannot do any motor work which is BS because you can....) I think I got sprayed, because this was a GT stang with a guy who weighs 185ish and a GF who is around 120 and that car that is prob 3100 with both of them in it.
The 1st one was a easy pull, I felt and he stated he didnt miss a shift. Then the rest were much closer. Either my **** isnt running right or he had more stuff done. I will have to do a lil more research but a 3000-3100 bolt on 5 speed foxbody stang doing 110 in the 1/4?? Thats pretty darn fast.
Also, the shifts were clean and quick, I love this new MC.
So maybe thats why I question this race vs the mod list.
Or your car is a big piece.
So I guess I wasted him pretty good infront of Dunkin eh. Thats cool. I am sure that R-tard who always yells about how much Chevy's sucked had at least something to say.
Now I feel a little better. I am sure the shot was prob in the 100 range. but again, ill have to ask him on the jet size, there are maps to figure it out.
This was a dyno shop that I had used for years. He posted his dyno database....

According to the kid it had Upper and lower intake, CAI, full exhaust, U/D pulleys, and roller rockers, that would put him at anywhere between 210-240 hp.
Based on at most a 3600 pounds, its a Low 14 second car. ** I est. 250 rwhp, my bro's 88 GT with some weight reduction weighed 3400 w/o driver.**

Add 100 hp to the tires..... now its a mid 12 car and now I see it being a closer race.
In some conversations I've heard people toss around the term, "He Must have Sprayed...." and well to me thats an assumption. It came to my mind after the 2nd race. But I have not done that much research. My bro has 3 stangs, a 88 GT AOD (exhaust only), 86 GT (gears, exhaust), a 92 LX Notch E303 cam, rockers, gears, CAI, plastic upper intake. So I can at least figure out weight and basic hp #.
