1st kill in the TA

Well after leaving the carwash me and a buddy decided to head to the gas station a few miles away. On the way we were playing around. Came up on a straight away and did a roll. His car is a 2004(if i remember correctly) stage 3 roush mustang. This is the 2v motor with a supercharger. He put down 380/380 in the dyno. Mods are only long tubes and full exhust. We were both in 3rd gear running about 65. Hit it at the same time. I let out at around 110 where i was about 3 cars in front. I figured he would pull on me?? I was surprised.

My mods are: 99 TA, American Racing Long Tubes, off road y, borla exhaust, ported TB, 25% under drive, ram air, and k&n drop in. 6 speed.

haha u read my mind. Currently saving up for the cam. Next mod for sure! Still ooking into which cam to get. Car is my DD so still need good idle and gas milage lol.

You should be around 350 +/- with those mods. If you have the driver mod, it's not far fetched. Nice kill.

well I dont see how driver mod would effect this race....lol we were both in 3rd already and just had to shift to 4th, lol bout everyone can shift 4th. I forgot to mention I have 4:10s supposedly. Guy said it when he sold it to me, everything else he said it had, it did. But to me they feel more like 3:73s

Before I did a cam in your car I'd definately ditch the O/R Y setup for a true dual exhaust. Not only would it sound better but it would make more power. I think I remember back when, I heard that the true dual exhaust is a must for LS1s (makes good power w/ longtubes).

I think this thread is a prime example of how shitty the SOHC 2v is. It stings the Ford guys but its the truth. I wouldn't put that motor in a Pinto to get me to the liquor store.

I agree. Before I had tha TA I had a 99 GT with bolt ons and nitrous. It was a dog lol. Im debating on true duals, I love how my car sounds rite now. The borla adjustable exhaust is sweet lol.
