I knew he was trying to get me to slow down....I was trying to keep it at 70 as is my best range. 60 is kind of a precarious speed for me and not my favorite. When we both took off at close to 70 the first time it seemed close, but when we did go at 60 the last 2 times he definitely jumped me. With spray I would pull him but definitely would have to rely on aerodynamics in the top end just on motor. i will check out the Houstonbuick site. My buick is a 9.5 sec build and am putting a very aggressive tune on it now. Am running in March and expect a 9.9 pass from it.

i agree with there generally mid to high 13 second cars. ive seen more run 13's than 14's.
and for being a truck they do not seem to have the same weakness as say the srt10 and such. they have Great Grip off the line and can rip some good 60fts

I have run 2 SRT-10s in the past and was honeslty not that impressed. Off the line it was close with each but immediate pulls happening. i have also run them from 40 and 60 with not really having to much comp...I seem to have better runs with stock L's than the SRT's. These runs were with my old setup where I was running 360-380 whp.

Sources vary but this is straight from the dealer
1993 GMC CYCLONE - 0-60mph 4.6sec, quarter 13.4, top speed 145mph
2003 FORD LIGHTNING - 0-60mph 5.2sec, quarter 13.9, top speed 147mph
2004 DODGE RAM SRT - 0-60mph 5.2sec, quarter 13.8, top speed 150mph..
The GMC CYCLONE is the quickest and the RAM SRT is the Fastest...
I think I take the GMC CYCLONE, I like quick in a truck......

13.9 is on the slow side for an 03. 13.4 is the quickest I've seen bone stock.

Truck Trend pulled a 13.7 with the 03 380 version. 0-60 of 5.2, almost as fast as our favorite caddy with the LS engine. They got a 0-60 time of 5.4 with the quad cab Ram srt-10, and a 13.7 with the quad cab. So they were neck and neck, with maybe the regular cab being a tenth or so faster. Can't find any legitimate numbers on the syclone, they're all doing 9's now.

Well to set the record straight once and for all the quickest factory pick up truck to date is the
"2009 Supercharged Toyota Tundra"... 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds... We all over looked this one, Toyota of all makers........
Is the Porchse Cayenne Turbo and Trailblazer SS really faster then the Cherokee?.. I'm tired of googling all these trucks I give up....
Kinda jacking this thread, sorry man....

OK after this I'll try to not hijack anymore. But:
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 520 hp, 0-60 = 5.2, 1320 = 13.6 @ 103.7
Jeep Cherokee SRT8 425 hp, 0-60 = 5.2, 1320 = 13.5 @ 102.24
Trailblazer SS 391 hp, 0-60 = 6.3, 1320 = 14.3 @ 96.33
Edmunds inside line is a handy website for quick reference. Just type in the car your looking for as long as it isn't more than 10 years old.
And yeah the trailblazer looks slow in this company, but a 350z runs the 1320 in 14.1. The new Cobalt SS does 13.9.

Gotta disagree with your times on the Jeep Cherokee...The SRT Jeep does 0-60mph in under 5 seconds...
Google if you don't believe me, it is the fastest SUV I've seen around.. It's AWD too and that means it will beat everyone on this forum 0-60mph in the rain...![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
2009 Tundra and Jeep SRT are the winners...

Trailblazer SS is an LS3. I owned a Cyclone back in 90 when they first came out. They are AWD and really jump off the line, but they really lean out about 90-100.
The Cayenne Twin Turbo is the only truck/SUV that was able to jump me from a low roll due to the AWD. I have a friend that owns one and ran him when still had paper tags. He pulled almost a car off the jump but by the end of 2nd had gained all and put 1-2 cars on him....after that it was a solid significant pull.
I would rate that faster/higher than any outside the Lightning from stock.

All my numbers came from edmunds. I'm sure it's went faster (they could only get a Mustang gt to go 13.9 stock, other mags are pulling ls1 numbers out of the new ones), that's just what they got on that day, and it's not like they were thrashing it.
Trailblazer SS still has the LS2, at least according to Chevrolet's website. The LS3 would be cool, but doubt it as the trailblazer's outbound.
Sorry for the hijack, but now people wanna know about other trucks to watch out for
