Default 08 Ferrari F-430 Vs. Cammed LS1!!

so i was driving down PCH last night in Laguna Beach at like midnight and this Ferrari blows past me, so i go to catch up to him... and a light turns red! ive never been more excited to see a red light so i pull up and he revvs it and i do it back... the street was a lil uphill and i turned off the traction control and when the light turned green i gunned it with some wheelspin so i let off (hes half a car ahead of me) and punch it again and slowly pull on him, i got up to his window and kept creeping past and he looked over with the most shocked face in the world!!! when we stopped i was about 3/4 car ahead of him!!
i had no idea that my car would EVER keep up with that!
i can hardly believe it myself! my buddy almost **** his pants he was so excited haha

dude the only way i can describe the noise of him revving it was like a whip cracking. it was like "wooooooooooooooooooooooshhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa" haha if that makes sense. we actually stopped because we both saw flashing lights coming at us. turned out it was a firetruck haha ive raced tons of ricers and other decent cars but for some reason this was my favorite. it was the most beautiful sound in the world. especially cammed with true dual with no mufflers at 6500 rpm and him at like 10k, i prob should have changed my underwear after that

Nice run. Alot of guys give a bit too much street credit to the exotics and its nice to show them GM has given us plenty to work with.

American pride, even if F-bodies were built in Canada

i cant wait till next spring/summer when my car will be done and i can go to AC and play with all the lambos and ferrari's. Ran into a lambo diablo SV early this fall with 3 people in my car on the AC expressway right before the city and he just walked me 60-100. should be a different story next year. Nice run man and good kill.

About 6 months back I was driving southbound on Preston road before warren road in Frisco and looked in my rearview mirror to see a camaro ss, and a T/A w/ RAM AIR racing up to me as I was at the light(not that I have anything fast yet I drive a 150hp POS for now, I was just at the light and they were racing.) Well the 3 of us are all at the light and I look over at them and of course the both had eatshit grins as they looked at each other... I new that the light had about another 15 seconds and they were gonna rocket off! well AGAIN I look in the rearview mirror due to something catching my eye and low and behold as the two F-bodies were busy with them selves the light turned green and NOT 1 but 2 YELLOW lambo galardo's fly by us ALL... I then look over at the 2 other guys that I had been waiting at the light with and see then just sitting at the light stairing at the lambos (while it was green) and then looked at each other almost like they were conected at the brain because I could see that there eatshit grins instantly changed to GET THAT *** grins and both launched at the same time to play catch-up with the galardo's. Of course my lil 150hp car had NOOO chance against the 4 monster that left me about 1 1/2 miles back Wish I could have been in something that was quik so that I could finish the story rather then stopping it at the light but I still went home with a BIG *** smile on my face... (2 brothers in the frisco area that desided to buy matching galardo's.. I think they go by "the boyd brothers")

nice kill! always nice to hear f-body's feeding crow to a "exotic". your lucky too, i've been tryin to find a exotic to race but never happens. usually i wind up at a stop light next to a riced out import
closest i ever go to racing an exotic was lining up against a countach but the old man driving didn't wanna play....

Nice run! I've come across two of those and neither one has pulled on me yet, although one was from a dig to less than 100 if I remember correctly and the other was a slow roll but the guy probably didn't know what he was doing. Either way, I'll take the kills!

Using your car as a benchmark, it seemed right to me too. Were they F1 Paddleshift or 6Ms?

it looked to me as if the guy was shifting (real shifting), but i was more concentrated on the semi-curvy/ slightly moist road (it was super foggy) haha

Nice Kill!

When i lived in Newport i use to cruise the PCH in the newport, huntington, and laguna beach area and i beat down a nice amount of people on the PCH. Surprised a few exotics out there as well.
