Re: Raced a vortech s/ charged 98 Cobra w/ Nittos... I saw a 96-98? Cobra with a KB blower run it at my local track running 106 mph, in fact I have it on tape as he was running almost 1 mph slower than my lid and catback, at the time, 99 Z28 was.

no prob and i have not gotten a chance to drive a Mach or an 03 cobra. i have driven a z06 and several other f-bods!!

Re: Raced a vortech s/ charged 98 Cobra w/ Nittos... Good kill on the blown GT. I've seen several of them that run 13.0-13.2's @ 106mph. That's bone stock LS1 range. Nothing to brage about that's for sure.

Re: Raced a vortech s/ charged 98 Cobra w/ Nittos... dud its plain and simple some people dont know how to mod there cars correctly ....most blown 99+ gt's run mid 12's thats ****** weak and they put a good 5 k into it ...im a differnt story and in time ill prove it to all of you on this board ...my setup is gonna be single turbo ..built shortblock p&p head,cams an thats all folks ...

Sounds about right. A bone stock 98 cobra with a 6psi vortech should run around 110-112mph in the 1/4.
$14,000 for the cobra, $3500 for the blower kit.
$17,500 total. Not too bad if you ask me.

I thought Vortech kits for a 98Cobra were over 8lbs (S-Trim)

All I was saying was for such a close race, I was just guessing it was a near stock cobra with a "base" vortech kit on it.
I don't care if people post about beating mustangs (or any car for that matter) all day long.
