Default Skyline R34 GTR vs 02 Z06

This was a couple days ago. Just got my car back from CMS, had them install H/C/I, and was out for a test drive.

While cruising down the freeway on the way home I see this

The tail lights are a pretty good give away. I was pretty excited just to see one on the streets and even more excited when I pulled up next to him. He looked over at me and smiled as he started slowing down. Right there I knew it was game on!

We both slowed down to about 40mph. He honked 3 times and we were off. He got the jump on my by about 1/2 a car then I started pulling on him pretty hard. Got to a little over 100mph and I was a good 2 cars ahead of him.

I slow down and he pulls up next to me and tells me one more. So same thing, slow down to 40, 3 honks and go. I got a better start and just keep pulling. This time went to about 120 and was probably 4-5 cars ahead! I was shaking, still getting used to all the extra hp.

We both pull off and talk for a bit. He has his own shop did all his own work and said he dynod at 450whp and I dynod at 457rwhp so I'm pretty stoked! We complimented each other's cars and parted ways. Pretty cool guy, pretty cool car!

That sounds about right, should of got a video. I hate all the fanboys that think skylines are gods gift to the world, I molested a 530whp one about a year ago and he tols me afterwards that he was just playing with me and didnt want to beat me too bad??? Its cool that the guy was nice though, good kill!

I wish I would've had a video camera. You never have one when you need it lol. Gotta love it when you beat someone and they come back with an excuse saying they were playing with you. I hate that crap.

Very cool. When I see one out on the road I'm always more interested in how they got the thing imported and registered. There were a few companies that used to sell that service but I think they've all since gone belly up. I thought a few were in even in some sort of legal trouble. Nice runs BTW!

Very cool, I've only seen one in real life! They are definately rare but also expensive! I'd take my LS1 any day over an RB26dett or whatever they have.

I see absolutely nothing "gorgeous" about that car. Looks like your typical, generic japanese 2 door.

And if you put it next to a Z06?? No comparison.

To each his own I guess.

Problem with skylines is they are like civics over there. There are sooo many different types of them, they just aren't **** in Japan, but come over here, most everyone loves them. I like them myself, but only the GT-R. I wouldn't waste my money or time with a GTS-T or one of the lower models or something. Good kill man. Swing by his shop and try to get another run on video. Make some fan bois pissy lol.

congrats but it looks like a rebadged gts25t skyline. from the front at least good kill either way but i would figure an awd 450hp skyline would get the jump on you and you would reel him in.

Wow, now that I can see the pics, it looks amazing. I love the looks of them, but I just can't stand the hype they get. Anyway, great minds think alike....go make a visit lol.

Actually I'd almost rather have a GTS-T than a GT-R... except for racing, there wouldn't be too much benefit of AWD in TX, and it would save a couple hundred pounds. And the RB25DET is just as strong (from what I understand) as the RB26DETT, and since most people go to single turbos anyway, I wouldn't be missing much in that department.

Good kill. The R34 has always been my favorite Skyline, since they came out. I like the looks of them even better than the new GTR's. I'd still take a Z06 over one any day though.

What?? How? That's a GTS's didn't have bumpers that came down so low to the ground.

Eh...the stock internals on the RB26 can handle a bit more than the stock RB25. I probably wouldn't push a stock RB25 past 400whp, and a stock RB26 past 600 (that's pushing it, but you would be fine for a while). Just my .02

That is what I was thinking as well, was internals were different. Plus, I'm not one of those 1000 hp type guys (like huge single supras). I would rather have twins, maybe upgraded, but honestly I would be happy with an AWD BPU (do they have that for skylines lol) GTR. Have better engine, the more sought after, and use it for shows and ****. That is about it. If I was into racing, There would be ALOT more options for me, plus different set ups, ect, and I couldn't really go into all that **** lol.
