Bottom line, nothing, I mean NOTHING beats an 03 Cobra no matter how bad the driver is, what the DA or temp is. It don't matter 03 Cobra beats all, We get it.





But seriously as much as I like Cobras and wouldn't mind owning one. The stock ones I seen run at the track have been low 13's high 12's, sorry(flame suit on) The Modded ones well thats a different story, they roll out. Good kill OP, It's completely believable.

They LS-1's sure do but slowly but surely they are dissapearing around here. Kinda like the GN's. In the old days you used to go to the track and see 10 or 15. Now your lucky to see 5. Even more rare on the street.

 

im seeing more and more... mainly built cars... or at least bolt ons.. and cam only...

theres usually at the least 10 everytime i go to the track..

are cobras even fast at the track cause every time i see them run they cant even launch or something always goes wrong with them a real race is of dead stop

 

Woh woh! You have it all wrong...a stock cobra ran a 12.4 once, so that means they all run that stock.

 

Ironically no one objects if Evan Smiths 12.8 pass is mentioned for an F-Body on here but we are going to cry foul when the 12.4 pass is mentioned for a termi? Come on...

 

Thanks I do alright but I'm nothing special...the Fiancee was able to beat my ET after 4 passes (ever) at the track. I need a driver mod.

 

Im not objecting, people think because one car cobra, camaro etc. ran a best time that they all run that. Its all about the driver mod...in this case the camaro had a better driver mod spinning threw 1st and 2nd and still won.

 

It is about the driver...but at the same time you can not ignore the difference. If you run a 'all things equal' race with the best possible driver in each the outcome will be the same.

If you put a bad enough driver in the Cobra you can beat it with almost anything (maybe not a huffy but an astrovan has a shot if the termi is spinning).

Essentially people are clinging to the win because the 'underdog' won but the reality of the situation is the underdog got lucky. All most of us are trying to say is congrats on your win but results are not typical. (unless everyone who owns a Cobra simply can't drive).
