lt1 firebird got raped
so for christmas, my parents bought me a 2000 Suzuki Bandit 600 S. ive got a friend at school that drives a hail damaged and abused 1995 formula. its got some crappy exhaust that makes it sound like a farm truck and a home made CAI. So he asks what i got for christmas, i tell him and his eyes light up really big. hes obviously looking for a race...
ive ridden dirtbikes for a few years, taking a few spins on streetbikes occasionally. this is the first fast streetbike ive ridden tho. so this kid starts talking all kinds of **** about how he hear my bike wont even break into the 13's and im gonna get my *** kicked cus i dont know how to ride... so i slap on my helmet, zip up my coat (45 degrees that night) and head out to a local, not oftenly traveled highway.
So i wait for his 3 honks, on the third i gently slide the clutch at around 4 grand. he spins a bit of the line, i hook but im gently getting into it. i short shift it a bit into 2nd at about 7 grand and roll onto it. by the top of first, i was at his bumper after a 2 length loss off the line. so i romp it in second and get about 4 bike lengths ahead and shut down... i was goin 70 already and i didnt want to risk any more...
so afterwards, he brings up the typical bs. i didnt hook, my cars not running right, blahblahblah. so i told him to give me a few months and well try again, 0-100.
cliff notes: bandit 600 vs. clapped out lt1, bandit gets 4 bike lengths by 70 babying it.
let the flaming begin for me being inexperienced and racing...

saying "bike" doesn't mean ****...a 600 and a liter are completely different animals...thats like saying wow you beat a car with a car. a 600 is sure not the fastest thing on road, good kill, the formula bit off more than he could chew.
and that puppy video is a proven fake and those weren't real soldiers.

I have a feeling a 2000 Suzuki Bandit 600 is a completely different animal from a newer 600.
