R1s are very nice. But as it sits right now the Gixxer 1000 is the top dawg, besides the topend busa and ZX12.

My 1000 is a heck of a beast.

 

Also funny story.

I met this guy one night at one of the local hangouts. He was willing to bet me 300 dollars that from a 60mph roll that my 1000 would not pull his friends 02 WS6 that is cammed(very nice car and around 350 to the ground). I was all for it, heck an easy 300, but his friend gracefully bowed his car out of that bet.

 

zx-7rs are notoriously slow bikes for their class, they are too long to handle, weigh 40% more than other machines in their class and i can't remember when they last won any races?!?

ps he wasnt a good rider, launching a bike requires max revs (14,500) and feeding the clutch in so you get no lift coz squashing ure rear shock saps the engine power plus to put the front wheel down u have to hit the back brake otherwise it goes over which obviously shafts any momentum/speed. so he was probably braking at that point - watch moto gp especially rossi he's particularly good at launching his bike!

my gixxer 750 does 9.2s @ 157mph still restricted to 190mph though ;-)
