i have a 99 ls1 z28 and we just sold our 99 cobra to my friend with bolt ons and so does mine and we raced and i walked him from a light like it wasnt nothing. ls1's have way more torque! point is unless the cobra is blown it doesnt want any of an ls1! also ls1's dont need blowers to beat pusstangs

Well asking to wait around for him to fetch another car is uber lame......but at least he had no delusions of grandeur about his stock Cobra.

I would just like to tell this OP because this happens to me alot. Usually its against a car that has no chance in beating me (a cobalt and a integra were the last two) that's not the case here but anyways. Not everybody wants to race anywhere and everywhere. I don't want to race going down the highway where I see cops everyday. Maybe you've been luckey and never been caught racing but believe me you don't want to get caught. (I have been) The only time I'm going to race on the street is when I believe there is no chance in getting caught.

Next time try to get them to bite a few times and if they don't... GTFO and quit pestering them. I hate that ****.
