i just picked up a is-f last weekend and I have to say its damn fun. I have not had a chance to run it vs a LSx car but I did have a 95-96 z28 back in the day and Im sure it would have killed that. Lexus says 13.0 for the 1/4 but I was at MIR and watched one that was stock + tires run mid 12s.

OH, BTW. let me tell you what I saw today! A VERY nice C6 vett vert that was sitting on the ground. As he got closer I could se the twin front mounts. He went around the corner and got on it... My god,thats what a TT V8 sounds like. I wanted to cry

Sounds about right, a nice set of stickies will net a few tenths thats for sure. especially at those power levels, stock tire = fail out of the hole.

 

if there isn't a huge amount of room for error (curves, traffic, pot holes, wet surface, etc), sometimes i don't get on it all the way either. especially if there's any second thought that the other driver might get in over his head like if he's punk kid in a fast car. even then, i'll usually give it enough to keep him close, then open it up to see what he's got.
you should have asked him if he wanted to go for a quick run somewhere.
