If it said "Roush 1" on the rear deck, then it was a stage 1. Which could either be a v-6 or a v-8. The basics for the stage 1 is mostly all body mods w/ the side exit exhausts/ badging. Not to say that this particular one wasn't supercharged, but probably not s/c'd by Roush. Not all Roush cars are supercharged either. Just the Stage 3's and 360/380R's. The "R" badging is the Roush trademark "R"..not some autozone special. ALL Roush cars/trucks/SUVs are serialized with numbers, but they are located inside the passenger-side door jamb. Not on the bumper like the Saleens. I own a 2000 Stage I v-6 and believe that yeah...it could probably walk all over your sierra?..no offense though.. I really like those. Not trying to slam anyone on this board, or start any problems, I just would like to try to educate everyone just a bit. If you would like any more info on the Roush cars feel free to ask and I as well as any other Roush owner on here would be more than happy to help. Oh..and by the way click here to see more on the Roush Cars---->www.roushperf.com

Maybe you can elaborate how your V6 mustang can walk all over my Sierra.

After going over to www.roushperf.com and educating myself, I just found out the Stage 1 has the same 260hp engine the regular GT has. Probably the performance upgrade is a different side mount exhuast but honestly how much hp does that yield. 99+ Stock GT's on the average finish the quarter mile in the low to high 14's depending wether it's auto or stick. Just for the record, I have raced a couple of these and have yet to loose to a stock one.
Now as far as the V6 Stage1, other than a different exhaust, it does not mention any other performance upgrades.
Explain how this 190 hp 3.8 V6 Mustang with a different exhaust, 6 piece body kit and bigger and probably heavier wheels can walk all over my Sierra.
I get the immpression you are just talking out of your ***.
Maybe this side exit exhuast is worth a couple of hundred ponies.
BTW, my gf had a 01 3.8 Mustang and it would hang neck to neck with my then stock 01 Ext Cab 4.8 Sierra.

Tiburon, not all of the Stage 1's are 4.6's, some are, and some are the sixers.
You have yet to lose to a stock one? lol, congrats... you've beaten an otherwise stock GT or 3.8 unless it was blown. Mine's stock except for the shiny intake...

Ah, I took the first line as referencing an S1 as a V8, but after a re-read you were just saying that the 8's are just a basic GT V8. Which is true, unless it's got the CAI, which is an insignificant upgrade, and the side exit exhaust, well, some believe it to be very restrictive, I on the otherhand think it flows just as well as stock or better. Just the nasty bends it has causes some restriction I'm sure but not enough to matter.

SM has a point, but the guys Roush is going to be quicker then most. Welcome to the board.
I am one of the few sensible ford owners here, and the v6 guy, unless MAJOR work is done with his v6, will get his *** handed to him, but TIB, needs a few more mods on his truck if i say so myself.
Oh well, me and Dan need to hurry and get this ****** turbo kit for my the 04' so i can start puttin some money down!

Or maybe post a timeslip of what YOU run before saying something stupid like that?
You are on a GENERAL MOTORS board. You drive a Ford. If you want respect here, you have to EARN it. All the regular Ford guys here have something to back up their mouth. You have something that a civic Si could hang with.
Haha... This thread has been around since when I first joined... Blkst1x... way to bring back an old *** thread. Also, what the hell do you have done to your car? Now, I know I am assuming here, but I highly doubt you dont have anywhere enough to hang with Tiburon...
