Default Lost to a Mustang

I was on the express way and this this mustang revs at me going about 55mph. Well to make the story short we took of from a 55pmh roll and he took me bad. By about 100mph, he had about 6 (maybe more) car length on me. This Mustang was not ordinary Mustang GT. It a different ground kit and in the back where the GT badge normally goes it said (Rouch1) and in the front quarter panels it had a an R instead of the GT badge. I have never seen a Mustang like this. Anyone know what I just raced. The exhaust sounded wicked. Oh btw, this was a 99 and newer shape.

Maybe it was some type of Roush? I don't know too mucha bout the Roush or Saleen stangs, but I think all or most of them are supercharged SOHC's... you'd need somebody with more extensive knowledge than I have. Nice death!

wow weard dude they made a cobra R for a bit (to play off of the skyline gt R) but i dont think rouch got there hands on em.. did it have a diffrent looking airfoil or did that look like the normal gt?

i know how frustrating it is to eat it that bad but there is no better reality check than seeing a set of tail lights dissapering quickly.
good death man

everybody has their moments.

sounds like one of the roush cars, since you got a real good look at the rear bumper, the saleens and roush cars are numbered i do believe. was there a number on the bumper? like a production number. i mean like what number it was when it came off the factory assembly line. they badge all of these cars like that. makes them authentic. like its a one of a kind.

This one said Rouch1 on the back.. Maybe I wrong, but I am sure it said Rouch.

it sounds like u raced a roush stage 1. the R on the side is where the gt should be, but he probably just got a custom badge. stage 1 is just appearance mods. so it was basically a gt, most likely with i/e etc

You raced what is called a Roush 360R. They are roush GT's with a different body kit and minor performance upgrades over a stageII. LINK http://www.stangnet.com/releases/rou...roush360r.html check'em out. Sharp cars. Very rare. A local dealer here in Lexington had about 6 of them at one point.

I've seen one of those 360Rs. I didn't know those were roushs, I always assumed it was just some body kit and they just made up the decals to look cool. I never knew someone actually produced those things like that. Nice death.

Ok bro.. Sounds like you all are in need of some serious education. Seeing as how you are all (mostly) Chevy owners, I'll start out by---I'm not sure where you got the spelling "Rouch"???, but it is spelled "ROUSH". If it said "Roush 1" on the rear deck, then it was a stage 1. Which could either be a v-6 or a v-8. The basics for the stage 1 is mostly all body mods w/ the side exit exhausts/ badging. Not to say that this particular one wasn't supercharged, but probably not s/c'd by Roush. Not all Roush cars are supercharged either. Just the Stage 3's and 360/380R's. The "R" badging is the Roush trademark "R"..not some autozone special. ALL Roush cars/trucks/SUVs are serialized with numbers, but they are located inside the passenger-side door jamb. Not on the bumper like the Saleens. I own a 2000 Stage I v-6 and believe that yeah...it could probably walk all over your sierra?..no offense though.. I really like those. Not trying to slam anyone on this board, or start any problems, I just would like to try to educate everyone just a bit. If you would like any more info on the Roush cars feel free to ask and I as well as any other Roush owner on here would be more than happy to help. Oh..and by the way click here to see more on the Roush Cars---->www.roushperf.com
