Default Win, loss or robbed????

About 30 min ago i'm coming outta walmart and this purple SRT8 Charger comes up from behind me and i hear the exhaust screaming! He pulls even, him and a buddy and they ask if i wanna run. granted it's time for a tune up and fluid change i said F@ck it, just to see how i'd hold against a car making 120+ more hp than i am.

I give him the hit at about 40mph , 3 honks and we both nail it, he puts a car on me and i start pulling but have to let off before 60 because outta nowhere a damn mini van cuts into my lane.

Second we have and open road for about 3/4 mile. We are rolling at about 30, he downshifted, took the hit and put 1.5 cars on me, by 65 i'm even with his rear door and pulling hard. Just as my nose gets to his mirror he lets off makes it look like a did a ricer fly by! WTF! No cars within our range, and he denies me my potential win! I was pissed!

He claims to only have an exhaust, but it seemed way to raspy not to have headers or gutted cats. Would you guys consider it a win, loss,.....bullshit??

My longtubes, plugs and wires are going in next week and i'm going hunting!

Win for sure, Nice Kill. Most Dodge fanatics are so macho about there 6.1L they cant stomach a loss so way to bust his bubble. Lol at what the passenger was saying "Dude his coming back, Dude seriously, OMG WTF"

I hate this kind of race. Ricer all the way.

So good kill on the SRT8, it sounds like you were crawling back to get him

LMAO....its funny what you said about his friend! Thats exactly what was happening! He was looking back and i could see him telling his boy that i was coming. What do they run normally? High 12's? Are they overrated or am i underestimating my car?

I would consider it a kill. They are usually good for low 13's @ 105-108 (usually) so they are a fun match for a stock/mild LS1. You should trap around 110-112 though so it should be a very close race. They are strong from a 50 roll too. They are just as heavy as every other big 4dr.

Yes, some have been high 12's @ 110-111. That's not the norm though, same as the Evan Smith SS.

They can run a high 12 with just a diablo tune...I dont see you car running much faster than that. Unless it was a R/T?

Good kill or loss, whichever way you look at it. But, the SRT8 Chargers don't have 120+ hp more than our 98'-02' F-bods. I'd say it's more around 75 hp give or take a few.

I believe there rated at 425hp, but idk if that's actually what they put down or what but its still a heavy car at about 4100lbs.

It's a kill, who races to 65 without police or traffic being involved, really. That dude was lame and didn't want to get outrun with this friend there.

It was definately an SRT8. I followed him to bestbuy to chat a little and he was hesitant to talk. I checked it out and it looked pretty authentic, especially with some of the interior goodies they only offer with the SRT8.

That was only my 3rd run, the others were my brothers 94Z28 with cb, cai,m6, ory and and 06 Eclipse pretty much stock. they all got me off the line because of traction and no one wanted a roll at about 50mph. If i can get my launch down, there will be hell to pay. I always between 65-80.

How much of a difference will my lt make in overall power? more top end or midrange?

long tubes sometimes will make you lose a little low end tq but you will make it up with the extar top-end hp!

A tune after the LTs will help a lot.
