If he actually has 100 RWHP more, I can see where the disappointment would come from.

Let's not start bashing the Supra platform too hard. They do tend to love their dyno charts but I've seen some ridiculously fast MKIV's. This is my favorite Supra video...

It just sucks that (it seems to me) most supra owners build dyno queens...put down huge amounts of power, but with shity power bands. I would rather take a twin turbo, great power band supra with 450 hp, over a shitty 1-2k powerband, and 600-700 hp. Great cars, but too much hype.

Is the owner of the supra in there actually whining about the vid? I have a good friend with a t67 supra. The car is no joke and he is about the nicest guy I know. Supras are not to be taken lightly. 550whp is really nothing special when it comes to supras.

Nice, that video is awesome. The Supra driver really can't shift though, he almost drops a car length on the 75kph roll when he shifts the second time. Geez I thought owning a Supra came with mad heel/toe skillz?

10.2 supra on street tires at the end. Also there are some trans ams and camaros if you watch the video for awhile. Mostly little asians in imports though. Good vid.

That last Supra is fast, but it is the exception not the norm. Most are the 12.7 Supra you posted in the first post. I respect all cars equally because if you know what you are doing you can make a pinto fast, but my question has always been why.

I agree with everyone that if you are going to brag about your 1000hp supra you damn well better run a good time or I will call this particular person a dyno queen. I have seen civics and junk saying oh man I made 550hp blah blah blah and not do anything with it. I know a kid personally with an ls vtec turbo setup making 425hp and he ran a 14.6.
And yes I would take a twin turbo supra over a z06 vette. I am probably in the minority here at ls1tech (obviously) but it is just my opinion.

There are a couple of reasons I do'nt agree with you in this part of your post, and that is when either turbo goes, it's whole new engine time. The Z06 being N/A you can repair stuff, and being GM repair it relatively cheaply.

A new jz motor is less than a new ls1 lol. And if I had the money to go out and buy either one of these cars, repair costs are not my biggest fear. On top of that I rarely hear of turbos taking a dump on anyone's car.

Depends on where you live. When I lived in eastern KY, vw turbo's went out a lot cause of the altitude (least what a couple of mechanics told me, I'm an explosives engineer not mechanical). And yes I would hope an inline 6 is cheaper than a V8. I wonder what the trailblazers 4.2 inline 6 would do with some TT's.........

Lol found it. Only 8.5 lbs of boost pushing 400 hp.
