beat two STI's
Pretty sure you got that backwards buddy. Considering that with an increase in elevation, N/A cars lose power. For example, my car loses about a whole second off the 1/4 mile. So that comes out to about 20% power loss due to elevation. Which would be why turbo cars are so common out here. Research before you post **** like that.
02-07 STIs only put down 220-230 at the wheels. don't forget, they have 3 diffs, 1 driveshaft, and 4 axels to lose power to also. the 6speed sti transmission is all but bulletproof - rated from the factory at 1000hp and 600 ft lbs of torque. they do that because one of the rally classes subaru competes in requires the use of a factory transmission so they have to be real strong. however, slam into second hard and it pops the rear axels out of the diff, usually requiring at least and axel and unless you stop immediately, a diff also. its easy to make power with STIs, but they are primarily dyno queens.
big turbo + FMIC + tiny motor = lag
they handle well especially on anything but pavement at speed, but they just aren't designed for the drags. it's kind of like snowmobile racing on grass, works pretty good but just not quite right
For fun on the street, i choose MY FBODY!!!!!!
