Default beat two STI's

my mods on my camaro are:
A4 no stall, Long tubes, cutout, 230/224 cam, lid , tune.

sti's unknown

first one with my cutout open, going 35mph, him being stick shift took off right on the third honk and i floored it on the third so when my car being A4 it took its time to go react so he got 1 and half cars right away. By the time we hit 80 i went past him and pulling and shut off at 90

second one , doing 30 roll, we both took off at third honk, he got me a car and by 70ish i went past and pulling to about 80 and shut off.

where these sti's stock or what could they have done to em i dont have any idea what their HP numbers are

STIs are dogs. they can go from a dig a couple times until they break. all in all good races. How do you like that cam? i have the same one and i love it.

Good kills. I think stock STIs are around 300 HP.

If you are in CO how many feet above elevation are you? Doesn't boost do better vs NA when alt. becomes a factor?

Either way good kills.

yea elevation def effects turbo cars much more than the same elevation change would effect an N/A car

No. There are people with 100+ 1/4 mile passes that drive the cars to their full potential. If you don't know how to launch, then yes you will break something. Just like the stock 10-bolt in an F-body.

That's exactly the opposite of everything I've ever heard... there is a reason that early fighter jets and such were supercharged or turbocharged, and I can tell you that it has nothing to do with increased power at sea level.

+1 on both accounts. The STi is known to have an excellent drivetrain and forced induction cars have an advantage at elevation.

yes and there are also tons of people with great passes on their 10 bolts. I have seen 2 STIs break from launching like madmen, Great launches though before that. and the drives did know what they were doing. granted, this was out of tons of runs. i am by no means saying they have bad drive trains....i mean that would be like calling the kettle black (look at F-Bodies), but, it does happen occasionally.im sure they have better than us. Also, is the factory rating correct on STIs? they seem a tad slow for 300HP. i guess the AWD doesnt really help much there.

Pretty sure it's right. I think they dyno around 230 or so to all wheels.

Good kills those cars can be bad, I haven't seen one that scares me yet. I am sure they are out there though.

Exactly right, FI cars are much better off at elevation then N/A cars. Which is exactly why stock ls1 cars run mid 14's up hear. I think its like 25% loss in power for an N/A car at this elevation. People can say as much as they want about those stock times for LS1's at this elevation but it's true unfortunately.

The 04-07 are actually 294 corrected hp and the 08-09 are 304 hp . With a turbo exhaust and an AccessPort ECU flasher they are Stg.2 and around 270-280 whp untuned, around 12.7-12.9 1/4's.

Pretty sure you got that backwards buddy. Considering that with an increase in elevation, N/A cars lose power. For example, my car loses about a whole second off the 1/4 mile. So that comes out to about 20% power loss due to elevation. Which would be why turbo cars are so common out here. Research before you post **** like that.
