My ex wife did it in her MS3...intake and exhaust ran a 13.4 @ 108

 

They run like 18psi stock, heres a vid of that speed3 getting smashed. They are freakin slow

The race is about 3-4mins in, that is a intake/tune mazdaspeed3 vs a lid/exhaust 99z28. I have also seen a few others run and they never touch 13s stock and definitely cannot do 12.9@111 with the stock turbo. Im not impressed with the speed3, it is a cool little car but I think a cobalt ss/tc would be a much better choice.

 

good kill! Theirs a kid in a stock speed6 around here who keeps talking **** to me. . . . yet he avoids racing me at all costs. . . . . its just a stock ls1. And if he waits to long he wont stand a chance at all lol.

 

People tend to embarass themselves when they speak in absolutes about things they don't know about... do some research before it happens to you yet again.

Trapspeed doesn't matter in a drag race. I was posting in response to stock Mazdaspeed3s running 13s, not roll-racing LS1s. And I don't know why you insist on constantly bringing up my stock car when I never talk about it. But whatever makes you and your little friend 99 Z28 feel better about yourselves.

 

I'm still waiting on capn_smokey to call BS on this, because Sarge is saying the exact same thing I am.

 

If he's bone stock then I'm a bit surprised...

 

reading the comments on the video, and looking at the front wheels, it seems this particular MS3 isn't bone stock, it has some kinda aftermarket tire, drag radials or maybe slicks.

Heres that same one I posted before, with only a hollowed out cat and an intake. 13.6 @ 104+. They are very well capable of running a high 13 @ 100 bone stock. They seem to be dead even with an SRT 4 neon stock for stock. Just like most turbo FWD cars they are hard as hell to launch and your ET is all in the 60' foot.

I just posted a slip and link to the guys run. He did run 12.9@111 with the stock turbo. I'm not fond of wagons or hatchbacks so I think the Balt SS/TC would be my choice as well, but there is no denying that the car takes to mods very well and is capable of running some pretty decent times.

 

I'll see if my buddy still has his timeslips. The MS3 is definitely his slow car, as he also has two turbocharged first-gen Lightnings.
