Another new guy... Hi guys. I stumbled upon your forum one day when looking for stuff for my VW. I started reading, and was hooked. I have always like old american muscle cars, but had a pretty bad, and VERY ignorant, view of the newer Camaros and firebirds. Now I have seen the light, and I sooo want to get a TA asap. I am in college right now, though, so I think it will be some time before I will actually be able to afford one. Anyway, I was just letting you guys know that I will probably be posting some stuff here and there. From what I have seen, you guys really know your stuff and I have learned a lot from you guys. I am glad that , for the most part, you guys view rice as basically the drivers, not the actual cars(although a civic with a huge wing and rims, with a fart can and ground effects kit, that has no go, no matter what the driver, in my opinion, is always gonna be rice if he enjoys driving the car). I myself am big into german cars(as well as cars from the good ol' USA), and currently drive an 89 Jetta that I will mod this summer. Well, I guess what I am saying is that, well, I am glad, I think, that just cuz i have an import, doesnt mean I am a ricer. After all, if I was, I wouldnt be posting and reading here. Sorry for this being so long. Just thought I would let you guys know my story before I start posting.

Re: Another new guy... welcome to the board.. Most people think that the LS1 is a gas guzzler that doesn't put out the power that it should. They're wrong, that's the LT1

And what is your beef with porsche? Just cuz you cant afford one means anyone that can has a small *****? haha, j/k. You are, from what I have seen, one of the cooler guys on this forum. Just your sig a little while back kinda annoyed me a little, cuz, I Like porsche a lot(too bad they ARE overpriced)
Maybe ill have to get an older model firebird/camaro first. Do any of you know what year they stopped making them compatible with a big block? without having to rework the whole car, i mean.

Re: Another new guy... my buddy has an Audi S4 (i assume people know that audi is just fancy VW). very nice car. more ****** buttons and lights than an F-14 though. i almost bought an A4 when i was looking for a new car... then i found the T/A.
i got my *** owned one night by a 1.8T A4 on the beltway about a year ago when i was still in the GT. pretty humbling. impressive power you can get out of those engines if you know what you're doing.
jetta was the ugliest car in F&F tho.
