Oh, your friends cars. Makes sense now. And I am too afraid of a blowout...thus I don't do it anymore. Not to mention, one time I passed a cop at 150...that sucked lol. I just got lucky. I did get a flat at 90, on the way back from Douglas. Luckily, it was in the rear, and the nail was still in the tire...went out slowly, not a total blowout.

and yea im always worried about mechanical failure too when going that fast it could get very ugly very fast. had a few friends almost lose their lives in situations like that so i tend to not push the envelope.
glad to know our tax dollars are going towards good use!

old VR6 GTI: 145 or so on the way back home from San Diego going down hill coming out of the mountains.
T/A: i'd say about 130-135 while toying around with my buddy in his firehawk.

This isn't my first twin cam GM vehicle.
ACtually, I rather like saturns. THe way they were built saved my life in the accident. (1" roll cage for a body).

SL2....the sedan man!...LOL. SC's are fugly. I like the L300s though.
Yep...Cops estimated I rolled about 3 times. Broken back window, bush in the back seat, with my CHilito on the floor. Bags deployed. No cave in on ANY of the frame. Only body parts. I was unresponsive and my friend thought I was dead when he came too. He went looking for help when I came to and I thought he was thrown from the car. Needless to say, I have since learned ALOT about corner taking at high speeds. Still makes me skiddish to this day sometimes though.
