It seems to me like you would take him in the quarter- I would estimate you at low 12's & that CTS-V runs mid 12's. That said, with your low gears & his 6 speed combined with world conquering LS3 power, he will likely be charging up on you hard- even at the end of a quarter. You are going to hook better than he will from a dead stop & he will be trying to catch you past 100 mph. Therefore, any type of roll race would favor him in my opinion.

 

That's about what I'm thinking. The dyno numbers were on a MD for whatever its worth. Oh well, guess I'll race him in my other car

Got some new info on the cam I'm getting.....guy recently went 115 mph in the 1/4 with it. With typical 5k+ DAs. I will have slightly more mods than him.....I can't wait.

Speedworlds DA's are usually around 2k sometimes lower depending on the day time and month you know the usual variables haha. but whenever you do get ready i'll def go with you, and get this im a stupid ***. . . nitto doesnt make a NT555R in a 275 16! only a 275 15. . . infact they dont make any 275's in 16's!!!!! so guess im sticking with the 245's well at least until i can afford the ET streets. . . or something better ******* court. . . counting down till tomorrow when i have to pay those ******* upwards of 600 bucks if i get charged with the wreckless driving!

And hell yea thats a good trap for SIR. Our builder and tuners pullied cobra traps 117. So with my extra mods, Hopefully I can be a match for that cobra. 115 is my goal though, for now atleast.

What does your car weigh? Edmunds has the CTS-V running 12.4 at 115 and I haven't seen too many other numbers. If that's accurate, you should take him out of the hole no problem but he'll most likely be coming back pretty good on you if he can drive. They weigh 4,200 pounds but with that 556hp and 551tq, I'm actually surprised they're only trapping 115. I can see them being hard to launch on street tires with the IRS.

Edit: just found another source where they claim 118 and GM's official 0-60 is 3.9. That's more like it. I tend to think a driver who can get a 3.9 0-60 and 118 trap out of it will do better than a mid-12.

We have a newly paved blacktop road off in the country that is "Closed" and we have VHT'd it... the more passes we do the better it gets. Also the cops know that is where we race just so there is no altercations or confusion. We got this **** on lock lol.
