Since this thread was ruined long ago, I'll throw in my $.02. I find it rather amusing how Roger calls my car a POS, yet praises his girlfriend's RX-8. If my car is slow (which in the grand scheme of things, it definitely is), then her car is molasses.

Yea, when you said a stock RX-8 will outlaunch a drag radial equipped auto LSx car, and then continued to insult every automatic driving F-body owner, yea, you dumped out a whole 5 gallon bucket of worms. I'd race your GF's stock RX-8 w/ my auto 305 car, or my LT1 M6 car, and I'll assure you neither of them will lose the '60 foot, and the LT1 car will be well ahead by 1320', the 305 you might be able give a race to on the big end.
I can say that with confidence because the 305 car has put down an RX-8 from a dig, multiple times!

So if you want to say he did not drive the automatic good enough good for you but I was in the car and watched as she 60'd it and it then killed her. I would also rather drive the mid 14 second Rx8 than that loser of a Honda also.

Good point... Roger's GF has the hole-shot machine RX8.

FYI... reaction time means nothing... 60 ft, elapsted time, and MPH is what matters. I'd like to hole shot that RX8 in my truck

hell if id choose a rx8 rather than a s2000 thats just dumb,
if you plan on racein a rx8 you need to bring it straight home from the factory and redo the engine. there ****. and thats from a specialist. my friend buit engines for rx7store.com for 5 years.

Oh, I forgot that automatics drive and launch themselves, that must be why everyone with an auto is running the same time and pulling the same 60'. I love it when people say that autos are easy and manuals are SO much harder to drive. Get over yourself.
