350z?
I raced one the other night ... (this is made up for all the cops out there ... haha)
We were on a 2 lane road, with lots of lights
He pulled up next to me, and kept pacing me ... took off, then slowed, took off then slowed, etc etc. I rolled down my window and he told me he just had exaust. I asked him if he was sure he really wanted to race. He said "yup, just hope your ready, these things are quick."
We went from a dead stop ... I spun through first and second gear while passing him with ease. With alittle spin into third, she finally hooked, and he was two buses back.
He comes running up next to me, pacing me again .... we went from mid second gear, to end of third ... same result.
Then he decides to be an ******* and speed away (probably hit 90-100mph in a 40mph zone). As we come up to a light, I am making a right, I see a cop flying up behind us. Not knowing whether he was coming after us because of the races, or because of the 100mph run the Z just made, I ducked down the side roads. I came back out a minute or two later and the Z was pulled over on the side of the road with the cop right behind him, lights a-blazin.
There, now you have a Z kill story. FWIW, I have heard the Nissan Altima's with the 6's in them give the Z a run for it's money ... how pathetic is that.

On a side note, I have a feeling those Z's are going to be badass when they come out with some turbo kits and some more aftermarket parts for them. The owner of the Nissan dealership where a friend of mine works, has a "suped up" one, with some bolts ons, a "200hp nitrous shot", and a load of stickers. I've seen the car and it is nice looking (besides the full array of stickers), I don't know about the 200 shot though.

I TOYED with one a while back. It pulled out of a gas station almost right in front of me as I was going through an intersection. I switched lanes real quick and then pass it. I get back into the right lane and I see him moving up quick. That guy never had a chance. Dropped it into second at about 45, and left him just as soon as he got even with me. He stayed back, pacing behind me, tail between his legs, until he turned off.

I agree ... its a decent looking car, and looks like it should go fast ... it just doesnt though. If I had turned on the juice during that race it would've been a slaughter.

when japanese companies make 4 bangers with half the displacement of the v6 in the mustang, yet still make more horsepower, you just gotta scratch your head and go "huh?"
v6 mustang is an embarrasment to the mustang name.
i've seen one real performance v6 in my life (in person). it was about 250hp with a 125shot on that.

I have driven both the 350z and its sister the G35. They are very nice cars for what they are. If I were buying one, it would be the sport version of the G35. It still comes with the back seat and big wheels and brakes. Anyway, they are nice looking cars. And absolutely no match for an LS1 or LT1 for that matter. There is a Greddy turbo kit that I read about somewhere. The engine is not really set up for a turbo application so it was a low boost set up. Anyway, I think Nissan will come out with a turbo version that should be impressive.
