That's the first 'possum kill I've ever seen posted.
I hope it didn't mess up your car.

yeah, that little "ba bump" always makes you wonder why they wait untill your just far enough that they can dart out just in time to make it right under your tires as you go past

The little guy was not hit by my tire, but by the rather deep tranny pan built out of cast aluminum. It was probably a quick death.

I haven't seen a opposum in a while. There used to be a really big one that wandered through my neighborhood at night eating out of trash cans. I called him skippy. He was huge almost as big as my dog. He probably met the same demise as the one you ran over. Nice kill BTW lol.

SKIPPYYYYYY!!!!

Since we're chippn' in ROADkill stories......
I nailed this HUGE jackrabbit with a HUMVEE once while at night. It was a military vehicle. Once we came out of the field and had to wash the vehicles, there still were remains all along the underside! I swear if I had made a keychain with that things foot, I would never have gotten it to fit in my pocket!

I drove straight towards what looked like a 'possum on the horizon once (it was in the middle of the road, figured I would clear it). As we approached (this was in an ol' Mazda sedan with the wife and in-laws aboard), the carcass looked bigger, like a dog I was thinking... closer... damn BIG dog... closer... since when do dogs have ANTLERS! ... CRUNCH!
Pulled over at the next toll plaza and sure enough, it was a deer carcass. The bottom of the chasis dripped blood and fur had clung to the exhaust pipes.
We pulled up to DisneyWorld smelling like death (literally).

Big Bronco, yes I was in the military. Click on my name and you'll know. When that incident with the rabbit happened, I was still in the service.

No $#!T, SouthFL. Evil's been through alot. But he's with that chick from the GAYlant race, so it's all good I'm guessing.

SouthFl ... why didn't you slow down? ROTFL ... great story.

Btw, this new forum look is killing me ... it takes me an extra 10 minutes to do anything on this damn thing. Old one was much simplier (maybe I was just used to it, who knows)
