You just gotta love this! Mustang owners hating on Mustang owners on a LS1 forum. LOL!
I just got back from the Mustang 45th Anniversary celebration at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingtham Alabama, nothing but love all around down there for the 2,000+ cars on display and the 40,000+ people who came out to see them!

Ok today I'm at work and I get an email from my wife. I figured it would be the usual how is your day, what do you want for dinner and other pleasantries that she usually passes on in her emails. She's great. Well none of that was the subject of today's email. She said she wanted to surprise me for my birthday, which is in December, with a new car. She said she wanted to surprise me but then thought she might get the wrong things on it. I have two cars that I want. The new Camaro 2SS with the RS package, sunroof, manual tranny, and an undetermined color scheme. I am torn between three colors. The second an RT Challenger with all the goodies as well and a manual. The color scheme is also undtermined and again I'm torn between three colors. The question for you given the choice between the two which one would you get. Disregard brand loyalty because they are both awesome cars regardless. I am torn between the two because the performance of the Camaro is of course better but the daily driver aspect, according to the tests I've read say the Challenger is more livable. I've owned a lot of F-Bodies and daily driving one frankly gets tiresome sometimes. Help me choose. Thanks.

Hell she's put up with me and the Army for the last 20 years. Why did you hate the Challenger? The one I drove was pretty nice, I didn't get to hammer on it to see what it was like under spirited driving.

I hate the Dodge/Chrysler interiors and the engine didn't do it for me. I drove an M6 R/T. Felt like it had no power down low and choked up top...had to work to spin the tires at all

Go with the Camaro. It's much easier to tinker with and mod the ls series engines, instead of those Hemis. Just my opinion.

I am leaning that way but it is a difficult decision.

Get a 2010 Shelby Gt500, Drivability is great plus its something different and costs just as much as a 2SS fully loaded. I know its the dark side but hey, it worth a "test drive"

Not here in Washington. The cheapest, and it was a used one, was still $47,000. Plus I don't buy the 500 HP rating they felt weak compared to my car and it only makes around 360 to the tire so around 425-430 at the crank. Might be gearing or weight but my car is a full weight vert so its not light. I do like them though.
