Big kill/ BS thread
Alright, while it's open, what do you guys think about these 2 choices for my next ride. My car will be gone Thursday ( http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-kooks-fs.html ) and I am trying to decide on which way to go.
A- 2006 C6Z (H/C/Bolt-ons/LS7 FAST w/ agressive tune) 600-610rwhp
B- 2008+ LS3 (FI with blower cam and bolt ons) 590-640rwhp
What would YOU guys buy and why?
Both cars will run similar times but one is N/A
Both are C6's but one is the Daddy C6Z
Let me hear some ideas, though it will be a while before I jump again

Is this even a question Jay? Option "A" by a mile. With just a 100 shot, it would be relatively untouchable on the street. Unless you have some guy show up with a monster turbo car...
I actually like the A6 too but I really want a C6Z. I settled with my C6, though it was fun.
I'll have to ask around what size shot it will safely take when it's already at 580+rwhp. I think a 100 shot would be good
RD Mercer, oh man I remember those calls, funny as hell.
Your'e right, I comprimised on this C6 and wasted time and money. I'll just hold out for a C6Z. Thanks.
Agreed too, I just thought there could be something I was not considereng. I know when the time comes, a C6Z in my area will be around $35-37K and an FI'd LS3 will pop up at the same price. Thanks

The C6Z is a little on the harsh side, if you drive it daily it might get old. It wouldn't for me but I don't know if you want to live with that. The costs of replacing clutches could get costly over the long term. With that said I would get the Z and not look back. But I am a die hard manual guy and the C6Z looks better IMO.

Thanks, exact feedback I am looking for.
I forgot one other thing as well. I'd check out the costs of insuring both cars as well. There can be pretty significant differences and for some that can be a shock when you budgeted for one thing and its costs a lot more or it may not be worth the extra cost for others.
The only thing I can see getting old is the M6. The clutch wear issue can be fixed by doing it right the first time. Textralia OZ700 should take care of your needs and last a LONG time. The manners of the cam is what could get old even faster than the trans. Cam surge, idle issues, and fuel economy (pending its a DD) would all play an important part of my decision.
Are the street manners of this particular cam pretty good?
