Isn't it adapted from the cam that was in the LT4?

Yup, pretty much was. Virtually the same specs.

Ok. I'd always heard it called the "LT4 hotcam," so that's why I call it that.

Before everyone flames you for this, Paxton and Procharger are two completely different things. The Procharger is made by Accessible Technologies. Your buddy probably has a NOVI.

a geared stalled 4 valve is a completely different animal than a stock 2 valve with 3.27's

And yep....3.27s are junk for that. I was ok with my 3.55s, but still. 3.73s or 3.90s were my future route.
no i was refering to the way the d1 comes on

its just about the biggest waste of energy to put that cam in. the only thing a hot cam has going for it is its probably one of the better sounding cams for the ls1. honestly i bet a set of longtubes would make just about as much power.

to each their own. I disagree.....but again, I'm used to D1s on machs, not 2V's. must be a huge difference between the two.

Low 12s until he can post a slip to prove otherwise.

Great kill, OP. Watch out when he throws those gears in, though!

yea it would be nice to race some type of cobra. i see em around but none want to race out here. Nice race OP. Looks like the blower was just not enough on that 2V. After all, if you polish a turd, it is still a turd. I love the machs and cobras....but 2V's are **** IMO.

12.1s is decent, but it would be different if he had stock 3.27s and that's all DT was saying.

much better combo. my buddy went 11.40 with a p1sc, 3:90 gears, anderson cams and meth injection. now the cars got heads, intake, bigger cams, built/stroked shortblock and a F1A. makes 650 and change on pump gas. not bad for a little 2 valve.
