their Cobra and it only had a little 2.2L blower and a little shot of the dope.
This car had the same mods as mine basically, except for the trans. This is
with a 100% stock long block.
Link
That whole debate can go back and forth for quite a while since both cars can be extremely potent.
However, there are zero 6 second turbo fbodies and there are a hell of a lot of 6 second Cobras.
That's where the comparison ends really for the LSx platform...for now.

What about a "properly setup" KB Cobra? Strictly Performance did ok with
their Cobra and it only had a little 2.2L blower and a little shot of the dope.

I can't think of a 6-second modular powered Mustang.

Search for John Mihovitz and his 6 second 281cid modular Cougar.
Just because you can't think of something doesn't mean it's non-existent.
The only 6 second LSx car was "Casper"...twins, big engine, nitrous ("just to spool
the turbos" - ok ) in a tube frame GTO chassis owned by Ronnie Duke as I recall.
Badass car though that's for sure. Still, not legal and couldn't compete in a race series.

I'm not giving out false information. I'm stating fact. I mentioned Casper
above. BTW...that car doesn't exist anymore.
