That's true in the case of the e36 and e46, but not in the e92. An LS1 or LT1 has more displacement, but the e92 still has more power, even though its torgue is dismal at only 300 lbft (so much for torque winning races)...

I see what you were saying in your whole message though.

"With Bolt ons". Once you get into comparing modded cars to stock,or other modded cars, then any car can be faster than the other.

There are a ton of e36 m3s that have put $5k into a turbo kit and are running 425 whp (and in the 11's, much lighter than the newest generation) while looking stock. Many have added meth kits and up that by another 40whp or so.

Why it's always nice to know each cars specs if possible. The new m3 has pullies, exhausts, software tunes, and even turbo upgrades available at this time.

Good kill to the OP!

Ok, so I played around with an e92 (licence plate said V8M3)last night for just a moment as he was getting onto the Tollway from the service road!!! We started at the light, he got the launch, I got side by side with him as he was going onto the tollway ramp and I stayed on the service road and we both stopped pulling on each other!!!! I left thinking that thing is a beast(lol, my 190lb friend in the passanger seat thought I was going to get pulled but was VERY surpised that I closed the gap and stayed door to door... )!! But couldnt help but think that when he opened her up it sounded like ****!!! Sexxy as hell but still sounded like ****... Sorry, I dont want to have to put a flame suit on but just my opinion....

I agree with you but i don't think you get my point.

i'm comparing his car(the camaro) with majority of e36/e46 m3 on the street, thus i said it's faster than most of them in the straight line
FYI BMW WILL TAKE ALL CARS IN THE TWISTIES
that's the basic rule you have to know in bimmerforums.

i've had 3 BMWs before and performance wise they're nothing close to my camaro. of course they can be made fast but mod to money wise the gain for the bucks in the camaro is way better than in BMW.

and i think to say that there's tons of e36 m3 with $5k turbo kit from AA or dinan or whatever is kinda exaggerated. it's gonna be more than $7k unless you do the labor by yourself. before i bought my camaro i was toying with the idea of supercharging my e39 540, but after i talked with the guy in AA and he calculated everything the final total was close to $11k, so i backed out.

Im sure I could kill an M3 in the twisties....

E46 M3 runs a straight 0-100-0 while the CTS-V runs the 0-100-0 through a slalom

I assume his frustration over his big buck car losing is why he did the ricer flyby and then turned off.
wow. that is one fast vert... i was wondering how you smacked that thing down so quick with the top down. btw, you also forgot to mention that your 383 is procharged...

I joined BFC because I was contemplating a used M3. 5 years later I'm still there. It's a good forum.
