You must a pretty stout ride to bust a new 911 like that. When my car was stock, I would only eat them up by 3 cars or so
Well maybe you should come over here and get some when I get a new dte

Great kill, OP. What's done to your Z? On a side note, I've run two of those Turbo Porsches and they're a REALLY good run on the highway for my car. I expected them to pull a bit up top but they didn't. Pretty much a drivers race. Time to step up my game a bit.

Yea they are not as fast as their price tag suggest... my car has some stuff done to it... if I would have been at the right mph or 2nd gear it would have been like 5 car lengths.

If you pulled on him like that from the wrong gear I'm assuming you've got some decent engine work done to go along with any bolt-ons because there's no way a bolt-on Z06 is pulling on a Turbo Porsche from the wrong gear unless the Porsche driver doesn't know what the hell he's doing. I run pretty even with a stockish 02-04 Z06 on the highway and if anything the Turbo is pulling on me up top; best case I hang with them.

Pick on the stock 997 style porsches, because you are looking for a asswhooping if you get ahold of one that has upgraded turbos..

My brother in law has a TechArt Porsche. Over 700 HP and it drives like a pussycat until you mash the loud pedal. Then all hell breaks loose. He also has a Ruf that has over 600 HP. Sick *** Porsches and he drives them the way they are meant to be driven, on the autobahn flat out. I have been in the car at over 220 MPH. Both are capable of that speed the TechArt is a little faster top end. It tops out at 236 according to the literature he has, I'd believe it.

I was just responding to the statement that Porsches could be fast. I'm sure there are plenty of Vette's that would destroy those two cars. Hell Roger's car could be one of them. I don't know and really don't care.

That argument could be said about anything.. i could make a thread saying how a stock rx-8 completely destroyed a honda civic, but then everyone can jump in and say, well there are these guys that i know whose brothers honda is in a car club where there is a really fast one and im just saying because i know that honda's can be fast

I think a correction needs to be made. "Turbo Porsches can be fast" is incorrect. "Turbo Porsches ARE fast" is more appropriate. I don't think there's anyone in the world who could argue that a stock 11 sec car is not fast. Again, good kill.

You could make that thread. The difference is I have actually been in and driven those two cars I was referring to.

Actually I wasn't being sarcastic, maybe Rogers car can do 236 but I doubt it.

According to official Porsche figures, it produces 480 hp (358 kW; 487 PS)
They lose 120hp through the drivetrain?
