Default Got killed by a buddies TA

My mods in sig, his are: 01 TA m6, fresh rebuild bored 20 over, heads decked 10, 98 stock cam, 1 7/8 longtubes, ORY, slp loudmouth, stock tune only

Was hoping to try a couple different runs but ended up only being able to get 1. We went from a 50mph roll with me starting a fender ahead so I could hear his horn over our cars. On go he started in 2nd gear and started to creep instantly, but missed 3rd and recovered very quickly...he fell back to my rear fender where we started then started coming up again. By the time we shut down at 115 he had 1/2- 3/4 car on me.

It was a close race (as I expected it to be based on my past performance) but it was one I had expected to win.

I would love to say it was weight, but we went and snuck into a truck depot and weighed after. I weighed in at 3810 with 3/4 tank and some luggage in the trunk. He had his g/f with him so he weighed in at 39xx

Hopefully now that I picked up EFI live I can learn to use that and start finding some more power over my mail order tune...but I don't know how much is left to be found.

yes on the stock stall until I can afford a stall and tranny refresh all at once

I am not sure at all...but that's what his machine shop told him. Your guess is as good as mine.

get a high quality stall and race again. I'm sure the results will come out different. With that cam and a heavier car like yours it is begging for one.
