Dynotune & unit - Do you guys see that big a variation in times on svtp? Driver mod killing people on m6 irs cars or what?

From whats been posted in here theirs a Full second in difference... thats retarded. and about 7 mph

yes, the numbers range from slow to extremely fast for the mods...

on a side note.. my buddy has...

03 cobra
full exhaust
intake
smaller pully (still only making 10-11lbs)

i think thats it..

he ran a 7.7@90mph last night (DA was at 2500).. and had a 1.75 short time, he has cut low 1.6s but always misses a gear on those..

just thought id share..

I can agree with how it looked in the vid. After racing a ported Cobra in my cam only Z28 I can attest that those bastards pull HARD

there are so many variables that effect times, esp on the fi cars. heat, humidity ect. last time I was at the track there were cars running a sec slower than they normally run and their traps were about 5mph off. also, cobras are really hard to drive. if I got into a cobra right now I would run 14s, lol. thats why track times don't mean much when racing on the street. line two cars up under the same conditions and go at it.

i will say it takes a driver to get the numbers out of any car. i went 11.60 without even(in my opiniion) beating the car. with an all out ***** to the wall run on a good tire i think that my pullied set up could have gone 11.30s at 125 easily. a lot of 03/04 cobra owners suck at driving.

My cobra when 11.67@124 on a stock clutch Stage 4 port 2.76 upper and normal mods like cold air, exhaust.

I was on M/T ET streets. I put down 464RWHP on a mustang dyno.

They are extremely easy to make fast.

But I sold it and bought another F-body..

Just an update, there is a guy in my town that has a 02 camaro, stalled, cammed, and sprayed (150) shot. he beat my buddy in the cobra so now he is talking bout spraying the cobra. He told me he going to let that a@@ whooping sink in for a little while b4 he race me again lol but by the time he does i will be cammed and really wouldnt be a match for him if he sprays it tho. The z that beat him spun pretty badly out the hole and came back and got him by barely a fender b4 the quarter but a win is a win. the z runs 10.84 at the track on spray and slicks
