LT1 vs XLR

LT1 vs XLR After a few mishaps from my TB bypass I got everything back to how its supposed to be with the new free mods lol, so I made a trip to wal-mart with a buddy to redo his Berger panel.
On the way we creep by a dark grey convertible Cadillac XLR super sharp and looked amazing, not sure on the year...probably completely stock.
Looked like a dad with his son that couldn't see over the door, hahaha!
We both get into a left turn lane at a light and pull out when the green arrow comes, once we get straight he punches it to get in front of us a lane over, so I smile to myself and pace him up to the stop sign.
I looked over to see his son peering over the door handle grinning at my car and I take a look at the dad who is just beaming...oh its on!
We slowly roll out to about 15mph and I start to get on it and he's ready for me, 1st gear held us both bumper to bumper, power shift into 2nd and I lose maybe a half an inch, 3rd gear and we're back to dead even. We both let off somewhere in the neighborhood of 70mph and give each other a wave.
I thought those we're supposed to be much faster?
I'm damn near a bone stock LT1.
As we pull into wal-mart I started looking up the specs, only 325hp?
I shrugged it off and proceeded to the $5 movie trash pile when I hear;
"NICE CAMARO!" from across the aisle, I smiled and told him he had a slick car too.
I was always under the impression the XLR had the big bad C5 or C6 'vette motor, at least 400hp...but I guess not?

2007-2008 XLR has a 320hp Northstar 4.6L V-8 VVT
Now the XLR-V is a supercharged 4.4 liter that has 443hp.
But no LS motor, thats the CTS and CTS-V, the 4 door sedans.
On dragtimes, there are some mid 12 xtr-v's, the only stock xtr i saw was a low 14 car. The Cts-v is mid 13's down to low 12's depending on the year as the 09 is a bad ****!
