LT1 vs Mustang Bullitt?
Well i had just got done eating dinner with some friends and we were on the highway heading home when my friend in his R/T charger thought he would try and show off to a new body style mustang. I saw the Mustang down shift and just blew my friend away. So i followed until he exited. As we were going down the street i was going about 45ish in 3rd when he pulls up. I signaled and then we were off. He jumped ahead by about a car and a half but by the top of third we were almost dead even until he had to let off. I had a few more runs with him and we went our separate ways. I personally don't think it was a Bullitt because it didn't seem to pull hard enough. but my friend assured me he saw the Bullitt sign on the back of the car. First run in with another V8 since i got my car. BTW my car is M6 exhaust and CAI.

The 2008 Mustang Bullitt has the same motor as the 2010 Mustang, which runs about a mid 13 at 106 mph. If he had a Bullitt then he was probably a poor driver to lose to an intake exhaust LT1... Anything can happen on the street though.
Now, if it was a new edge (2001) Bullitt then that seems more plausible. Those have the same 2V motors as a GT but with a larger TB and an aluminum intake manifold for a whopping 5hp increase. But it sounds like you raced an 05+ body style.
The best way to tell if it was a Bullitt at all is by the exterior color. Both the new edge and 08 Bullitt are only available in a dark green paint, like Steve Mcqueens from the movie. The '08 has no emblem on the front and flat black rims with a chrome lip. It has the Bullitt emblem in place of the GT on the rear with no other badges. It actually looks pretty badass IMO.
Nice kill either way.

Good kill!
In my Wifes 97, I went consistant 13.1s @ 107 with only CAI, exhaust, and an EWP. So it is very much possible for him to have beaten a WELL driven 08Bullitt.
As for the colors, the New Edge was available in DHG, True Blue, and black.
I'm not sure about the 08s

I looked around and it looks like the new bullitts have around 315hp with 3.73 gears in them and run around 13.8 in the 1/4. I haven't had the chance to take my car to the track yet but im assuming im right around 13.8 to mid 13's on a good day. so it looked like it was a drivers race to me.

Good kills OP, with a good driver a new Bullitt should run a mid 13. Needs some more seat time if they are running 13.8. I never saw a blue one but they come in black for sure.
