What is wrong with this picture:

This morning I was on my way to work and had a G8 get on my tail. He was coming straight through a light and I was turning right at the light putting me right in front of him. I didn't want to have the guy pissed off so I nailed it, so he wouldn't have to slow down. The car chirps second gear and I start to go. Then I notice he is still hanging behind me. I floor it and he hangs with me and we end up over 110mph. I may have pulled on him by a hair but not as much as I thought I should.

I have not had my car to the track yet. I just picked it up a couple weeks ago. I would expect the car to go high 11s.

I know his car is bone stock because he works with me. I didn't know it was a coworker at the time. I ended up talking with him after he pulled into the parking lot behind me.

Any thoughts?

 

if you think about it, he was already going a good bit faster than you since you were pulling out in front of him. you knew you were going to nail it so he didnt have to slow down... he probably anticipated what you were doing and had it to the floor already as you made your move...

Yeah he was already going a little bit, but is his a manual or auto? Does he have the gt or the Gxp? My sister just got a 08 gt and its pretty fast, nothing like my car but it did surprise me.
