Ive got to weigh in on this.....

the simple fact is this...cars like stock c6Z06's or stock 2008 Vipers or stock ZR1's are just much faster than people think...

Just a few years ago a 130 mph trapping Supra or supercharged 130 mph GTS Viper were amazingly fast...

But in the E-world a 130 mph car isnt a huge deal any more..IN THE REAL WORLD..A 130 mph trapping car will destroy just about anything..

A C6Z06 is a ligitimate 125 mph car...Some claim to have touched 126-128 mph..Im sure with the grace of god and the stars alighned it probally did happen..

But the ligitimate 125 mph trapp speed is no joke..Throw in the arodynamics and gearing of the C6Z06..And well...You have a 0-150 mph car in 17.5 seconds..

THAT IS FING FAST....

many, many, many cars that can trapp in the 120-130 mph range in the 1/4 mile have stacked up to stock c6Z06's for 70-150 mph sprints and had their asses handed to them..My self included...

The point is...stock C6Z06's have beaten many 600 rwhp mustangs and 600 rwhp supras...I personally watched a stock 455 rwhp C6Z06 stay with 1.5 cars of a supercharged GTS Viper from 70-140 mph...The ROE GTS Viper claims he was only pushing 550 rwhp...

So lots of people are gonna call BS on a stang beating a c6Z06...even a stang with 600 rwhp....Simply based on what they have seen in other videos and the reputation of the c6Z06 it's self...

If this was a 600 rwhp 3800 pound cobra then I would call BS on the vids my self...As I know that......

AT MY DRAG STRIP THE STOCK 3800 POUND 365 RWHP 2003 COBRAS RAN 13.3'S...WHLIE THE STOCK 3300 POUND 275 RWHP MACH1'S RAN 13.9'S

THE MACH1'S JUST MAKEBETTER USE OF RWHP...Id assume simply because of the weight at 400-500 pounds lighter....

In short..If a mach1 can run 13.9's dead stock at my drag strip ( I was raceing them and knew the guy) with only 275 rwhp....Then imagine what one will run with 580 rwhp...

thats another 305 rwhp over stock...

Good Kill Dan

this stopsign guy is funny, i dont care about your power cus my stock ls1 made more than that power on its worst day. hp and rwhp is the same to me whens its that low. 518 rwhp 550 rwtq is what i got out of my bolt-ons, without a tune. (nitrous is a bolt-on in my book)

I was running 11's in a street car in 1986 and we didn't have drag radials back then. So your 518 doesn't impress me much. I've made more than that with a carbed 355 CI small block. But thanks for trying.

Then my little 4.6 makes a hell of alot more power than your car bolt on vs bolt on.

im not trying to impress you or anybody on here, my bolt-ons were $550 in total and were headers off-road y-pipe and juice, nothing else, no lid, filter, heads, cam or anything else. on 89 fuel and stock auto. It sure did impress a lot of the people in my area that could not keep up in their h/c spray cars, 6spd, stalled autos that were running low 11's etc. Im very familiar with older motors and fords too, and i do believe you can make more power than me, but what all was done to the 355ci if you dont mind me asking?

It was pretty silly actually. 12.5 compression, solid roller cam and hogged out heads. It ws basically a pro stock truck engine with a single carb. I shifted at 7500 RPM and that was being conservative.

I changed the heads a few times looking for more power. I even started shifting at 8500 at one point. I tamed it back down when I didn't pick up what I wanted and it got too ridiculous to drive on the street.

I went to the local 1/8th mile track the other day. Didn't run a good ET at all. I'm use to running on full slicks, but that day I was on some MT DR's and they would spin bad off the line. So I took off easy off the line and finially got on it passed the 60ft marker... The car trapped 105mph but only ran a mid 7's. lol I feel like I have a supra now. I'm going to put some slicks on it and take off with the 2 step and see what it will do. That was only at 15lbs of boost. I know it has more mph in it at that boost level if I can get on it right off the line. I'll turn it up once I get the traction issue fixed.

Given your race weight and your turbo setup, I'm guessing you'll pick up
32-33mph on the big end, which means you'll be trapping 137-138mph
in the 1/4. That's 9 second territory providing you can cut a 1.4 60'.
If not, that's easily a bottom 10 second pass...on 15psi.

Let's see what it can do on a slick! 9's are there, but it will take some
work to run that number.

Actually id have to disagree with unit a lil....If your spinning and hitting 105 mph in the 1/8 in your ttmach..then I see more like 140-143 mph trapps coming your way...

supras dont do so well in the 1/8...It's the big end...Hate to compare a nice american car to a P.O.S supra....But youve chosen your path...

I highly doubt he'll be able to pick up 35-38mph on the big end with his current tune (15psi). It takes some big power to do that.
