Actually when you consider the V6's only displace a gallon compared to our gallon and a half, 14.2 is not bad at all. In fact that is very respectable, even outstanding for such a heavy car.

 

 

What are the normal V6 mods??? And what do you have to do to get one to go really fast??? I am guessing head and cam is not the answer???

 

hey...i never said 14.2 is bad for a v6...hell, i had a v6 camaro...i know its prety good for a v6...but going around saying that its gonna beat ls1's??...ha...the slowest ls1 ive ever seen runs 14.0s....

heres a dumb...but very good comparison...
a few years ago, i had a p3 700 overclocked to 1ghz and ran quake 3 at 40fps at 1024x768...impressive for a p3-700....but still slow as hell compared to a p4 2.0....

so..once again..i dont hate v6's...thumbs up to the v6'er on this board who runs 11s....i just dont think some idiot who runs 14.2s can say they're faster than any 13s ls1....thats just plain stupid...so please...run some low 13s or 12s...then tell us you can run with ls1's....

i have a watercooled D1 stepping p4 2.4c overclocked to 3.0ghz on a 150mhz bus mainly because i get odd instabilities at 166mhz fsb, most likely due to my cas 3 pc3200 ram... i don't know why the motherboard won't let me run cas 3 at anything but stock 1:1 divider, so i have to run cas 2.5 and the ram really doesn't like it, even though it's technically underclocked on the 5:4 divider it's set to right now.

Its not a V6 that Runs 14.2 its a V6 that Ran a 14.2.. aLot has changed since then..

 

Dont be scared.. My car is slow just like you said.. I mean a V6 that on one run goes 14.2@ 103mph and on another run goes 14.3@ 105mph.. Very Slow.. What do stock LS1 Trap MPH wise?? That was on a 75 shot now its a little bigger and My motor Likes it.. Oh yeah Skinny Fats are good as well as suspension parts now.. The last time I went to the track I was cutting 2.3-2.4 60's with my stock rims and tires.. What do you think a car trapping 105 should run with say a 1.8 60'?? I am thinking low 13's high 12's.. Now say you up the shot to a 125 ,that same car now traps 108-110, What should it run?? I aint some stupid V6 owner I know my **** about F-bodies..
