They're a 2900lb car that is capable of 400 horsepower at the tires without touching the engine.

For reference here's one hanging with a Viper...

Whoever is running those times in a SRT-4 needs SERIOUS seat time.

They run 13.8/14.2 all day long here. Modded ones even faster.

+1 and those times dont even begin to tell the story about how they do on the highway.

If i had the money i would love to pick one up as an extra DD and or better winter car.

Here's mine when I was stock turbo with some porting running on E85. I had DRs but I was still cutting 2.1 60fts. This is why I say go from a dig if you want to win. 12.9 @ 115mph here. I later ran a 12.7 at 117mph but I don't have vid of that. I haven't run it on the GT3076R turbo yet. I put an LSD in too. It'll still suck for 60ft times, but it'll be easy 11's at around 12xmph.

same here. i was running the bfg drag radials and the best i could get was a 13.5 @ 111. they would not hook for me in 1st or 2nd no matter what psi i put them at. i was only a stg1 with bolt-ons and a tune at that time. it's been over a year since i've been to the track.

I appreciate SRT4's for being quick, but at the end of the day you are driving a Neon with a huge spoiler that looks ugly IMO

I had a srt4 many years ago with a hahn racecraft stage 5 turbosystem. I had to upgrade the tranny and axles just to keep from snapping the little axles on it. It was a fun car and fast as hell. Too bad the electronics fried one day and burned it to the ground.

Holy old thread!

!Spoiler was my first mod, but I'll agree, it still is a neon. That's why it's a great beater car. Who cares what happens to it, while beating down most of the cars you run into.

I've come to notice this exact post from you in every thread where there's a quick car that happens to have 4 cylinders or isn't GM.

My buddy had an SRT-4 that was stock. He took it to our local slow *** track and still managed a 14.2 at 98mph. That thing ran pretty good and was fun as hell. Definitely daily beater status though because it was more cheaply built than an F-body! Power front windows and crank rear windows were uhh....pretty sweet.
