good kill op. but everyone is right, the l99 cars stock suck. i raced one and it was sickening how bad i pulled him. a ls3 would be a much better race.

L99 Camaros have a **** load of torque mangement from the factory...a good tune should be the #1 priority for anyone that owns one.

yeah it does but from what i read after the first time he gets on it that the PCM add's timing taking all of that away...from what i read and there is a thread on here that stats all of that as well but its not like the car was slow its just more a top end car haha if we would have gone from a 100 punch then he would have got me haha

Sounds like you have a strong new Mustang! I was considering a new Camaro but the performance of them has really upset me so far

Your kidding right? A mid-high 12 second car posts about a good street kill he got and you come in dick swinging a fully modded 700+RWHP car at him?

Once again:

OP good kill. Keep fighting the good fight.

What speed are you shifting into 5th? I would imagine it's early with the 3:90s rear end.

It still doesn't firm up the shifts though either. A tune would help, for sure.

I wrote an article chastising GM for penalizing the automatic 26hp:

This about sums up my feelings. He may be an OK guy but him bragging about having the fastest NA Camaro is getting pretty old. Yeah it's nice that he's got a pretty quick boat, but it won't stay that way forever.

I don't doubt it. I'll give an example because the Camaro owner may not even realize.

SRT-8s are actually slower when shifted manually. Plus you lose the consistency factor. Other manual automatics may be different. I've read the IS-F has firmer shifts when manually shifted.

Also, a tune for the SRT-8 means wheelspin into 2nd and a lunge into 3rd every time at WOT. A big difference vs. stock. I suspect the L99 is the same, not to mention engine tuning.

A G8 GT with bolt-ons and a tune is a radical difference as well.

Nice kill OP, those 3Vs responded to bolt ons a hell of a lot better than 2V mod motors
