yeah it does but from what i read after the first time he gets on it that the PCM add's timing taking all of that away...from what i read and there is a thread on here that stats all of that as well but its not like the car was slow its just more a top end car haha if we would have gone from a 100 punch then he would have got me haha

That was me, Its been 11.20's on motor. That was before the heads and the other 46 rwhp it picked up on motor.
Who els has ever ran as fast as me in a 5th gen on motor? Nobody, there is one guy with a 427 auto car thats half a tenth faster then me.

I wrote an article chastising GM for penalizing the automatic 26hp:

What speed are you shifting into 5th? I would imagine it's early with the 3:90s rear end.
It still doesn't firm up the shifts though either. A tune would help, for sure.

This about sums up my feelings. He may be an OK guy but him bragging about having the fastest NA Camaro is getting pretty old. Yeah it's nice that he's got a pretty quick boat, but it won't stay that way forever.

SRT-8s are actually slower when shifted manually. Plus you lose the consistency factor. Other manual automatics may be different. I've read the IS-F has firmer shifts when manually shifted.
Also, a tune for the SRT-8 means wheelspin into 2nd and a lunge into 3rd every time at WOT. A big difference vs. stock. I suspect the L99 is the same, not to mention engine tuning.
A G8 GT with bolt-ons and a tune is a radical difference as well.
