Talking I got killed twice in one night

Lastnight at the local 1/8 mile (countyline in miami)track I raced two stangs. 1st race was against a late 80's -early 90's stang my time was rt:.222 his rt: .323 mine 60ft:2.117 his 60ft:1.810 mine trap:81.5 his 83.3 mine elapsed: 8.856 his elapsed: 8.112. His car had intake, exhaust, manual transmission and spray.

2nd race against 07 stang gt times were my rt: .287 his rt: .007 mine 60ft: 2.187 his 60ft: 2.197 mine trap:81.2 his trap:81.3 mine elapsed:8.952 his elapsed:8.844. His car had intake, full exhuast and manual transmission.

Now is this roughly what stock LS1 T/A should run? I had a ton of fun.

I was told that for a f-body with 3.23's my times were still to slow. Maybe my math is wrong but isn't the math 1.57x8.856= 13.90. Is it my rt or 60ft. that's killing me. Any input will help.

I don't think a stock LT1 with a stall is going to be taking a slightly modded 07 GT.

Reaction time means dick unless you are bracket racing. Your 60ft is killing you, if you can get it down to 2.0 (should be doable stock) your times should improve.

Ah sorry about that, my bad.

With seat time, he should be able to take the 07 without a stall.

I ran a 13.40 when mine was stock at a pretty bad track. I believe that was with a 2.1 or 2.2 short time.

my lid/tb/catback A4 2.73's went 8.7@81 with a 2.0 60ft on street tires. Just work on that launch a little bit and that 60ft will go down. I went with a very consecutive launch with rolling out of the hole a little then gunning it, was just enough to get traction after a good burnout.

This is what I have found 1/8 to 1/4 times.. 8.85 is a 13.81.

http://www.centralfloridastreetcars....conversion.htm

This is what my run looked like..
RT-.557 this is on a .500 tree.
60ft-1.995
1/8-8.70
MPH-83.86

Now with SLP Y,SLP Loudmouth 1 Catback Iam hoping to run atleast 8.5X in the 1/8. When I do gears Iam hoping to pickup atleast .2 and when I put on DR's,160,Tune Iam hoping for another .2 in the 1/8th..Stall and LT's/ORY is in the near future after I do what I have listed above..

Well I thought the mustangs can keep up with us until 3rd, Thats just what I've been reading on most forums. I have yet to come across a mustang that wanted to race. I've only been the chase vehicle/Camera vehicle for a race between a Fox body mustang and an Import.
