I bought the car and the guy told me it had 580rwhp. Now that was ridiculous, if it was it was very weak. i was guestamating never got it on a dyno. It was quick but i wasnt really in to it. not a ford man.

The only visible upgrades were the intake and supercharger. The bottom of the motor looked like it had never been touched. For all i know i was running a stock 302 with 12psi. I was also told the car had a TKO 5 spd. WRONG.
didnt know what i was buying i trusted the man and got the shaft.

Anyway its just speculation. I would rather put my trust into a Cobalt SS than a SI.

Both are insanely fun cars to drive, with the SS being far faster, but something about the Si... well for me it makes it one of the funnest cars i have ever driven. You have to drive it like you stole it to see anything out of it and well revving up to 9k rpm is just its own joy, and also i really like how they sound with a good exhuast setup. VTEC engagement sounds so deep and throaty(even tho it is still slow, it FEELS fast)

Basically you can have your way with the car and beat the living hell out of it and still be withing legal speeds or just slightly over lol

Its a different type of fun i suppose.

I've never run it at the track, but similar trucks run low 12's. My setup is pretty common in the diesel community. Just twins/injectors/supporting mods. For twins in series, that is a normal amount of boost. The turbo's would still be in their efficiency range if I ran more boost, but then you run the risk of blowing stuff up (ie. head gasket). I could run a larger single turbo and make more power with less boost, but it would take forever and day to spool. Twins spool fast =)
Thats what I thought, thanks for clarifying.

Same here. My car only dyno'd at 294! I think i probably has about 320 though. Cars that are dynoing at like 400 with headers were probably dynoed on a dynojet or another dyno with inflated number. I dyno'd on a mustang dyno, theyre usually closer to acurate.

a new si with 300hp would walk a stock ss hard..no question about it that u were not racing a 300hp si if that was the case..sorry to say but maybe he was just running off the bottle and hung that close...they roll out pretty good for a little guy

Walk an ls1 hard? Maybe you should check your ****?
You do know that a stock ls1 will trap 105-108mph, correct?

In the lower speeds it would probably pull it by a bit.. But the higher the speeds got the more it would drop back.

I'd put money all day on a new Si with 300whp over a stock LS1 F-body. Especially 100+.

I didnt realize that posting a story would bring out so much bullshit. This is a Racing thread i told my story and i get my nutz ripped off. i guess if i would have said the car was a SC stang it would have had different responses.

And on the mustang deal i really didnt care if it was a true 306 with TKO it was fast and fun until i bought the car i was wanting. I couldnt turn down the price i paid for it. And i wasnt tryin to stur up **** on the (ricers), I dont really care for a car that sounds like a pissed bumble bee. I like a car that sounds aggressive.
