who will win?? 306 mustang vs lt1 My question is who would win this race?
My friend has a 306 91 fox body. It has bbk cai, gt40x heads, e303 cam, tubular gt40 intake, 75mm throttle body, 76mm mass air, 30# injectors, headers, x pipe, flowmasters, and im pretty sure it has gears not sure tho. its a stick as well. I have a 94 Camaro Z28 A4 with 3200 Stall, with 3.90 in the rear, headers, borla cat-back, cc503, 1.6rr, 52mm tb, 24#svo injectors, slp cai, mad z28 tune, and all other bolt-ons and free mods you can think off. any help with this would be great!

The e-cam is nothing crazy at all.. Not even comparable to a hotcam. Your camaro should have absolutely no problem taking it. Here's a vid of a bolt-on LT1 racing a gutted foxbody with bolt ons, e303, 4.10s and draglites/mickeys:

(the kid talking in the beginning is the mustang driver, but the kid who posted the vid is the f-body driver - so you understand the text commentary). I know both of these kids personally. This was years ago..
(just to throw this out there.. the camaro is full weight and then some, and had a 350lb passenger recording)

you'll take him i bet ya...does the fox have posi?I know a lot fo them didn't...if not you'll definately get him...it'll be close, but if you can drive well I bet you'll take 'em
my buddy has an very comparable '92...but his is still a 302...he runs low 14's/high 13's at the track. He has the same exact CAi, heads, same size TB and MAF, with flowmasters and injectors, no headers tho...

you will win. i race a fox body with very similar mods with just full bolt ons and i pulled about 3 car lengths on him prettyy quick. if you have good rubber you will destroy him off the line. i havent seen very many 5.0s in the 13s really. most highly modded foxs are mid 14s

a buddy of mine has a 91 with a 306, eddlebrock heads, F-cam, full bolt-on, 4.10 gear, and we ran from a 30 roll when my car was a full bolt-on car and we ran dead even. with him having the baby E-cam and GT-40 heads, you should absolutely run all over him with your mods.....

i also have a friend with a 95 cobra that has gt40 heads and intake plus all the bolt ons and an f303 cam. his best was a 14.45 but it was usually high 14s

is it a coupe? if so they can run 13.9 bone stock. and yes there is a diffreance between gt4o and gt40x heads, the x heads flow better and they are aluminum. stock gt40s are cast iron. and for the record highly modded foxes dont run 14s guys. stock bottom end with the trickflow topend will get most foxes low 13s on street tires. but to answer your question you should beat him.

and i forgot to add if he has 30lb injectors he has more than a 302... i got 30lb injectors on my car and its a 347. be carefull what youre getting into but if his mod list is accurate you will win

they do trust me.....i got a very mid 347 that has went a best of 8.01 at 89 with a 1.85 sixty foot on 17inch dragradials spinning. its got shitty procomp heads on it now. i'm gonna go with cutom cam and prolly afr 205s that should put me at 420rwhp and run low 11s on motor. just havent had the cash to do it yet.
