And that is why I want a sleeper 2v. Most fodies around here are stockish. About 5% aren't, and I'd have to put down some SERIOUS cash to beat them. And that's not going to happen. I just want to mess with some of the more obnoxious fbody owners (Not saying that fbody owners as a whole are obnoxious) around here.

My area is GM country. Most 16 year old boys receive a pre 98 fbody for their first car. :p It's not till graduation or shortly after do they purchase a LS1 based GM. The few Mustangs around are V6 autos, and most are S197s, or early S97s. There are few GTs around. It's one of the reasons I got the GT. When my car is all cleaned up (most of time) there isn't a time I go out that someone makes a compliment on it.

The TAs and Camaros race on the main road CONSTANTLY. So much so that cops here in Vienna have turned into ***** about even a fast take off without going over the limit.

We need a track in the area badly. Even if it's only a 1/8th mile.

S97s? I know of foxbodys, sn95's, new edge and s197's for the most recent, but never heard of a s97.

Er sorry, yes SN95s. It's early, and I decided not to go into work today. Wife and I are celebrating anniversary.

We've gotten started a little early.

Late model mustang 101

Lesson one......SN95 refers to 94-04 (ten year span). Exterior body panel change (and other very minor changes) for 99-04 were nicknamed New Edge to know the difference between exterior differences primarily.

(it's still an SN95, it's just used to clarify body style).

Thanks for the mustang 101! Went to the track with my friend in the monte. The cobra went a best of 13.6@103.8 with a 2.1 60ft to his 13.7@100.

Here is a part of my pass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MGKivrVKpw

Nice run man! Get a shifter in that thing and then go bang the gears to get your time down... That car has a lot more in it. Mine went 13.3@102 with just a k&n and o/r-x and road race suspension. Of course that was at 980ft
