I used to own a S2000 with intake, header, headerback exhaust and a 75 shot. It did pretty damn good for what it was.

Id be real interested to see what happens if he puts in the 75 shot and yall run it again from a roll without him grannyshifting.

Yeah seriously I'm all about safety an keeping things running an deffintly when i drive it everyday lol. The "Z" was a fun car when it came to turns I don't think I would have ever gone nuts with it for the cost that it takes to do anything crazy.

The S2000 doesnt have his window switch installed yet so he was scared to hit the rev limiter, im thinking once he puts that in and ups his shot it will be a fair race from a roll, i have about 100hp advantage right now.

Nice kill.

Those wheels look ridiculously big on that S2K. I can only imagine how gutless it is with wheels that large, its slow enough stock.

Thanks. That weight is gonna give him a decent advantage if he can get the hp anywhere near where that LS1 is. Gonna take some doing though.

I've always been pretty impressed with them for an NA 4 cylinder. I ran a stock one with my stock LT1 and it was dead even. Definitely gotta be that disclaimer, though, that they are quick for what they are...not just that they are fast in general, haha.

True that i was suprised when stock on stock i saw one taking down a new edge mustang consistently from a dig on the street. However that does not mean they are fast in general as you said, but they sure are a blast to drive.

I wasn't so much referring to its peak power as I was to its severe lack of anything resembling low end power or torque. It basically drives like a Civic until you are over 6,000RPM.

And you are right, definitely not "fast" in general.

When you are talking about racing (like in the Street Racing/Kill Stories forum), it really doesn't matter how the car drives below 6,000rpm .

Too bad every moment of every day isn't spent racing...most people have to actually drive their car on a daily basis. So for the other 99.9% of the time that you're just driving the car, having an engine that gutless is not fun at all.

I'm not going to lie, at times I wished my old car had atleast a V6. LSx would have been nice. But it's not like it was undriveable as it was. It was obviously deficient of lowend torque, which is why they made the (quite noticeable) changes that they made in 2004. But that doesn't change the fact that even my '03 was a ridiculously-fun car to drive, even on a daily basis.

Yea that S2000 on the low end doesnt have any power, thats why he has the APEX-I tuner, this S2000 has the VTEC kicking in at a lot lower RPM than a stock S2000, he also added the header, CAI, and full exhaust to help out with that low end, and even at that he has the nitrous kicking in at full throttle, so that gets him into the VTEC even quicker, this car at 2800 lbs is pushing almost 300 hp the S2000 stock has about 240hp and a redline of almost 10K rpms, so with all the bolt ons and the 55 shot an educated guess of about 300hp isnt far off, he is waiting on his window switch for his nitrous and should be getting it here in a few days, he is going to put his 75hp nozzle in and retune his air fuel mixture and VTEC configuration with the APEX tuner, he will without a doubt have over 300hp, so the LS1 should by all means have its hands full at that point, i weigh in at a little over 3300 lbs and just have basic bolt ons so im guessing about 350hp with my cut out open and the 50hp more probably isnt enough to make up for that 500 lbs more that my car weighs, it should be interesting to see what happens, and the 20"s on his car are alot lighter than the stock wheels and tires he had on it, so i dont think those are affecting his performance much.

So the S2000 gave up with modding his car, i think he was bummed that a stock LS1 could spank a bolt on, tuned, and sprayed Honda...... Damn ricers

man I raced a supercharged S2000 that had 350 rwhp...I was in a stock 410 rwhp 1999 viper and it was very very very close...Finally pulled two cars on the guy at like 140 mph..

Those cars can be very fast with very little

They might not be the fastest thing in a straight line, but they sure are damn fun on the right road...
