(i guess poorly setup) boosted vehicles and didn't want the aggravation, so i went spray. and i like that you chose a lq4,same as me.

I do have a lot of respect for the guys out there putting down big HP and they use their car as a DD. My next purchase is a C6 Z06. I'd like to see perfect street manners in a 600RWHP car built for Road Racing. That's a next year project though....here I go again..LOL

That t/a is nasty looking(OP). Good kill. I am too slow to run with a GT500 even stock unless I am in one of my other cars
The GT500s I have seen with little mods didn't run that fast considering the power they made. I think the weight has a lot to to with it.

You should of lost, period. There are just pullied GT500's in the 10's, that GT500 could easily run bottom 11's with a mediocre driver and a set of drag radials.
Especially from a roll, you're down 150rwhp and like 180rwtq. Unless you have a ton of weight reduction, you shouldn't win against an equal driver.
sorry, 380rwhp is just nothing these days, you should sell your car.

Of course you gotta get the power to the ground, all things aside, you must have not raced any pullied Cobra's, come on man, trapping 115 isn't going to beat most pullied Cobra's. In a 1/4 mile dig race it'd be pretty close as your setup fairly well it seems for that, but from a roll unless the person just misses a shift or truly can't drive you won't win, it doesn't make sense.

i'm not saying it'll be a slaughter by any means, should be a fairly close race (a few cars from say 40-140). I'd love to race you and find out but I'm in Dallas, and I wouldn't care if I lost, it'd be fun. I just don't think I would lose, that's all.

Right. For example I beat a stock LS1 fbody once on a regular street race. The guy couldn't hook up, and just plain stunk. I would however not go around saying that a stock GT can beat LS1 fbodies.
I have a feeling the person the OP raced simply stunk at racing. That however doesn't mean he didn't still win the race.
He wasn't the only one acting that way.

For any of the mustang nut swingers, don't worry, when he gets more seat time and loses his passenger I'm sure he will be ahead of me. Until then, looks like I'm out in front. Oh and back at the top for fastest car in the family lol
