Stock? It's got the Street bully cam and the killer bee intake.. hardly stock. Not exactly a High HP torque monster like some of the SC guys.. but it's good enough for me.
Thanks. He wants to play to his advantage, so I let him. He is my good friend and I felt it's fine. But the next time we race, I'm doing a 2nd gear pull regardless of what he wants. I'll play to my car's strength and see how it goes. I figure it's only fair.

I wasnt playing to any adavantage to be honest..My car has 3.07 gears and is also a slug at 55 mph in third gear..
i wanted to do a 4th gear at 70 mph simply because it takes the driver out of the equation...70 in fourth gear with an even start and first to 150 mph (still in fourth gear) is as car to car as you can get and shows which car is faster..Not who's the better driver..
Starting in second at 55 mph will require a shift before 100 mph to third and then another shift at 125-130 mph to fourth..
Those two shifts leave a LOT of room for one of us to miss a gear ect and then ruin what would be a good run as then you both have to reset...Or maybey one of us is just a plain betyter shifter than the other ect.
I wanted to see were the cars were..Not us..Thats why I wanted the 70 start in 4th gear...
two weeks ago before I had my sct tune installed we did some second gear runs. The first run i beat him but he said he accidently started in 3rd gear instead of second. the next race he put 2-3 cars on me. the last race he beat me by a car and a half...Again both in second gear...
With my new tune honestly whatever gear we start in it will be very close..
FADI...I have a friend with a stock Z06 and I gurantee you i will pull him..If I can run door to door with a cammed one then it is a no brainer..
Even with just intake/roller rocker/no cats I could give RYSKY's Z06 a VERY close run when he was stock. We had a few door to door runs back then...
Now after eliminating all 4 cats instead of just the two like when I raced his stock Z06..Plus the lightweight titanium exhaust..light weight hood and sct tune...Honestly a stock C6Z06 wont be a problem.
I dont want a supercharger or TT ect. I personally take a lot of pride in being NA..Shooting for 520 rwhp 550 rwt sae with bolt ons and 3250 pounds...should be a competitive street car..Nonthing against the big dogs like your TT lambo..But a good middle level car

Good runs killmail. In no means am i trying to be an ***, but to those who think 11 races is to much or just plain stupid, its a good thing that killmail owns the car and can do/fix whatever he wants to. Now with that being said that sounds like alot of fun.

yes this is the same 515 standard HP Z06..So we assume 500 rwhp SAE...
500 rwhp is 500 rwhp..Car is still only 3180 pounds so that is still a fast car..Quite a bit faster than a stock Z06..First time he gave me a ride after installing the cam I nearly **** my self..It was very impressive to say the leaste..
The SCT tune may only be around 500 rwhp on my car as they only pick up 5-10 peak rwhp...But under the curve at say 3000 and 4000 and 5000 rpm's people pick up 20-35 rwhp over their stock tune in the meet of the curve..
I honestly belieave if I were to run a SRT10 with say headers/exhaust/intake/roller rockers makeing 500 rwhp that I would beat him by 1-2 cars..Because the sct tune just really adds the power under the curve..30 plus rwhp under the curve is HUGE!!!
My boss just got a 2010 z06 and wants to run..Gonna see if RSKY wants to come so we can see just hom much faster his car is over stock..plus a yellow z06..red z06 and yellow viper would be a sick day time vid..

You guys are a little harsh on Killemall: guy simply wanted to see if his huge torque V10 could pull on a cam'd Z06 from a lower RPM start. Only think I'm surprised about is that the Z06 didn't walk him hard once the RPM's came up on his car. ?? did you guys agree to short shift or something? If not, then his Viper is pretty damned fast to hang with a cam'd Z06 making somewhere around 50 more rwhp than stock.

Thank you and yes I agree..My Viper is pretty damn fast!!!!!!! Someone finally gives me a lil credit round here..It's a cammed C6Z06!!!!! And we were door to door..
What I noticed is that down low my car would pull maybe 1/2 a car and then as the rpm's rised he would pull maybe 1/2 a car..Very very close..When we started at 55 and then by 80ish I saw my car nudging ahead a lil I would get all excited thinking I was about to walk away. Then around 100 he would nudge back up and by 130 we were side by side or him maybe 2 feet ahead..(my front at his fender)
As far as the short shifting both of our cars will get around 130 mph in third gear. We both just mashed the pedals at 55 mph and then roadthe 3rd gear out at let off at 130 mph...Pretty much like two automatics ..
Some of them are makeing fun of me but a 4th gear pull starting at 70 and ending at say 160 mph (just riding out 4th gear) would be bad ***!!!!!
Youd seriously be talking about a 20 second ride....

That 4th gear 70 roll is garbage to me. It's not about driver, weight, power, or where you make your power. It's about gearing and torque. For instance if you raced a ported cobra with 4.30's he'd pull you. What rpm are you at since 70 mph is really 2nd gear's powerband? It's not car vs car. To me that takes the fun out of a roll. Why not a 15 roll in 1st til 150? That eliminates driver error on the launch, but that really shows car vs car. Since it involves, part driver, gearing, aero, power, torque, tires, weight, etc. Just saying you know.

My Z28 was horrible at low speed roll races because once the stall kicked in , I was getting side ways. I was bumbed about how the FWD at the track felt and scared me so I have plans. My goal is a 12 Second HHR SS which someone has just about done with just about the same mods. I need to stop thinking RWD and start thinking FWD. I promise Ill have another F BODY but I just want to mess around with this sleeper. I mean come on Old people only drive HHR's and girls LOL I guess that might be what the 335I guy thought too.
