I just got done changing the oil in the formula, fixed the driver and passenger side front fenders where the previous owner put the jack in the wrong spot, and a few other things. Took the car for alittle drive around town with the t-tops off just cruisin. I'm sitting at a light waiting to make a left hand turn when a couple guys on stunt bikes pull up next to me and are checking out the car and what not, i look in the mirror and there is a silver neon srt-4 behind me. We all make the left hand turn and have to wait for a couple miles before traffic clears, the guy in the neon steps out from behind me and i can hear his turbo already spooling up, so i punch it, he never even gets to my driver side door before i just walked away from him.. I slowed back down let him get next to me and this time i let him put half a car on me before i get on it, and once again i just walked away from him.. Not sure what all he had done since he wouldn't get along side me after that, but i know it at least had exhaust, and aftermarket bov, intake....


It was definatly fun since i have been stuck in the house all week because i got my wisdom teeth pulled, i laid off the pain meds today as long as i could just so i could change the oil and go for a drive, now my face is killing me, i'm back home and ready to lay down!!

good dodge srt kill non-the-less. though he was probably not modded; there turbo is very loud even when bonestock.

 

yeah it sounds stock for sure...those things modded from a roll are NASTY...trust me I know from first hand experience

 

i know that he at least had exhaust on it, it was dumped before the rear axle and the bov was a lot louder then stock. I know those neons can be nasty, this one was not, was not completly stock either.

 

now i know my car isn't extremly fast and that neon didn't have a lot done to it. I'm not trying to say neon's suck or anything like that i was just having fun since i haven't been able to drive in almost a week..

 

i feel your pain man, i had all 4 of my W=teeth pulled last month and i went thru all the oxy's they gave me and most of my vicodine i had left from my gall bladder removal surgery. oh and props on puttin the smack down of the dodge.

 

good kill, but i wouldnt call it a ricer just because its a 4banger. there are plenty of nice 4cyl cars out there, ricer really refers to the mentality. theres a fair share of ls1 ricers out there...and on here.

 

Nice kill OP. It's really hard to judge the potential of an SRT4...they can either be turds, or beasts. Just like an old Fox, hard to know what they have, so I never play around and just go all out.

As others have said, ricer doesn't apply to all imports. Some are nicely done. There are just too many that look like ****.

 

I agree completely, i never put money on a race against a fox body or an srt4, they have a lot of room for huge potential in those cars.
